My first taste of music came from growing up in the 70's and their are so many great albums that came from that decade. So, I would like to see what everyone has to say and come up with a list of your favorite or what you feel is the Best Rock Album of the 70's. Please come up with at least 10 albums of your choice that was released between Oct 1969 through Oct 1979, doesn't matter if it's solo, duo or group. I'll run this gathering period from today until Jan 16th or earlier whenever this runs it's course . Come one, Come all & hit me with your best shot!

Best Rock Album of the 70's

Here is a choice:
Raw Power     Iggy and The Stooges (1973) proto punk at its best and most influential

I am not going to list a bunch of punk records, but I am tempted to throw a Clash record and maybe a Ramones too.

Best Rock Album of the 70's

Being a 70's teen I personally believe that most all (not all, just most all) good music ended with the 70's and I was trying to think what wasn't a good rock album from the 70's. I am sure there was some, but none come to mind. Think just about all had at least 1 good song, but to add to the list here are ten in no particular order;

Dark Sid eOf The Moon - Pink Floyd, 1973

Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin, 1971

461 Ocean Boulevard - Eric Clapton, 1974

Willy And The Poorboys - Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dec. 1969

Boston - Boston, 1976

Hit the wrong key and posting ws sent before finished, the other five are;

Hotel California - Eagles, 1977

One Of These Nights - Eagles, 1975

A Rock And Roll Alternative - Atlanta Rhythm Section, 1977

Champagne Jam - Atlanta Rhythm Section, 1978

Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac, 1975  and Rumors - Fleetwood Mac, 1977
