Here it is peeps. I had appox. 180 albums nominated for the 64 spots. 100 of the entries were nominated once, hence they were eliminated. Of the remaining 80 there were 35 that were nominated twice so, to avoid some sort of vote off and to keep my personal opinion at bay, I just did them in alphabetical order and what was left didn't get in. Oh and remember two albums that didn't make it because of their release dates were The Wall & London Calling...they qualify for the 80's.

I'm going to put the first round in two different post West & East, just cuz of the size

Here are the results and there was one tie between The Cars & The Beatles and me being the tie breaker I chose The Cars as I love the Beatles but "Let it be" just didn't have it for me & The Cars first just has so many great tunes top to bottom it was hard to not vote for it.

Rd 1: Best Rock Album of the 70's (East Bracket)

1- Dark Side- A powerhouse.  While Fleetwood Mac is a great album, Dark Side is epic

8- Goodbye Yellow Brick Road-  Personal fave here.  Double album.  Spawned so many hits, title track, candle in the wind, benny and the jets, saturday night's allright for fighting, and the list keeps going.

5 Bat out of Hell- I outgrew this album, but the songs were almost all massive hits.

4- Aqualung-  I hate Jethro Tull, but I can't deny that this album is classic.

14 Court and Spark- Now this was a toughie.  I was in the Kiss army and loved everything they did (even their absurd TV movie, "Kiss and the Phantom of The Park"), but Court and Spark accomplishes in 40 minutes what it took Kiss Alive almost 2 hours to do.

11- Night Moves- I was and still a huge fan of this album.  It has so many great songs.  A Night at the Opera isn't my favorite Queen album, so I can't vote for it here.

10- Let It Be- Not fair to the Cars.  Their debut was outstanding from top to bottom.  One of the most underrated bands of the New Wave era, but Let It Be is in a different stratosphere.

2- Hotel California- I still listen to it a lot.  I love Feat, but Every song on Hotel California is great, especially all of side 2.

1- Rumours- No explanation needed

9 Waiting For Columbus- While Houses of The Holy is my favorite Zep disc, I never get tired of Waiting for Columbus

5- Eat a Peach- This was truly like Sophies Choice for me.  Aside from Box of Rain, I never listen to any of the studio tracks from Beauty, so I give the edge to The Allmans

4- Live At The Fillmore- Tough choice as Black Sabbath was such an important record in the developement of metal, but Live At The Fillmore ranks as one of the best ever.

5- Wish You Were Here- Another tough choice.  It's my favorite Floyd disc.  Darkness is great, but not my favorite Bruce disc.

6- Paranoid

7- Close To The Edge

2- 2112- Rush at the top of their game.
