What is the best college football uniform ever?

What is the best college football uniform ever? Sure, you could go with a classic like the maize and blue of Michigan or the unadorned white of Penn State. Or you could pick a personal favorite like the Texas red and white with the longhorn symbol on the helmet or, in my case, Clemson's all orange with a tiger paw. Or you could go off into left field and choose the crazy Oregon green and yellow with the neat diamond-patterned grid on the shoulders. But I think I have to go with Army's camouflage helmets and pants with black jerseys. Simply awesome! What do you think?

I think that Iowa has the best uniforms even if they were copied from the steelers. Also they have one of the coolest helmets in college football.

I think simple and sharp include Alabama and Penn State.

I think when Louisville goes with the reds and white pants, they look nice, I don't like the black unis.

Whenever Texas or Oklahoma State cheeleaders go cowgirl with chaps, hats, boots...I'm a sucker for those as top cheerleading uniforms

I think UCLA's baby blue duds are hard to top.  They have an excellent arrangement to them, right down to a unique font used on the names and numbers.

I'm a big fan of Oregon's all white uniforms with the dark green helmets and #s.

That said, I still think Florida State's home uniforms - the garnet jerseys with the gold pants are the best look in college football. I believe their helmets with the spearhead were recently voted the coolest helmets in the country as well (though I would rank them second behind Michigan).

Being a Gator fan, I love our get up, but would rate Michigan's uniforms top dogs. Speaking of dogs, Georgia's red and blacks stand out. As far as cheerleaders go, those longhorn chap outfits are inspiring to say the least.

I being Army have to admit the unis are nice, but the pattern itself maybe should just be used for football.  I like the Texas Tech uniforms myself and being a michigan fan there uniforms look good.  Cheerleader uniforms I think they are overdressed if you ask me.  But the Seminoles and Trojans win that one hands down.

fat, old and bald? really? that's where you go when your precious little ducks unis get criticized? grow up man, seriously.

so every poll conducted by the company that designed the uniform, and the school that wears them gave positive results huh? shocker. that's like saying that a poll conducted by the dnc shows that obama was the right choice.

i do like a classic look, so how do i not make sense? what makes the uo unis look "a lot" like penn state's? is it the cartoon looking number compared to the standard block numbers? is it the team name across the center chest? maybe it's the diamond plate pattern on the shoulders and sleeves. how can you even say that they have "a look" with 384 options?

i believe the exact quote from espn was "penn state they are not."

i'll cut them some slack, but not for the camo pattern. if they were gonna do that, they should've used the "old school" pattern rather than the "digital" pattern, at least in my opinion. however, i did like the fact, that they took of the names and put the army's "core values" on the back of the jersey. that and the unit patches they wear (like the naval academy). the fact that they choose to represent a unit really does go a long way.

great question by the way, i thought you would've had many more responses by now.

take care
