"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with Grace in your hearts to the Lord."  Colossians 3:16

Music is a very important part of worship, and so I thought it would be cool to give you a spiritully uplifting song every day.  (at least that's the plan)  I truly hope it will serve as a source of encouragement for all of you.  Please, no debates.  That's not what this blog is for.  Anyway, I thought I would start with one of my favorites.

My Savior's love

Charles Gabriel

I stand amazed in the presence
of Jesus the Nazarene,
and wonder how he could love me
a sinner condemned unclean.

For me it was in the garden
He prayed not my will but thine,
He shed no tears for His own grief
but sweat drops of blood for mine.

He took my sins and my sorrows
and made them His very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
an suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in Glory
His face I at last shall see
t'will be my theme through the ages
to sing of His love for me!

Oh how marvelous!  Oh how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
Oh how marelous!  Oh how wonderful!
Is my Savior's love for me!

Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs

Still love those old hyms. I go to a more contemporary church and they have taken hymns like this and made them contemporary. Still sounds great, but I do miss the harmony.  How marvelous, how wonderful, is my saviour's love for me. Yes it is!
