Well, it's hard to really even realize this, but this is going to be the final season of this decade of Cardinals baseball. So having said that, what is your favorite moment for the past decade? This encompasses the years 2000-2008, although I guess if you want to throw something in like the recent release of Adam Kennedy as your favorite, I won't hold it against ya.

I'll kick it off with my favorite; the Jim Edmonds home run in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Houston Astros in 2004. That game was dramatic til the very last swing, and then the call that still rings in my memory, "And we are going to Game 7!".

Next? Chime in.

Your favorite Cardinals moment this past decade?

I have a lot of favorite moments but  the one that sticks in my mind was the home run Albert hit off of Johan Santana at the first game at Shea Stadium I took my son to last summer.

I'd have to say that 2006 NLCS was a HUGE series for the Cardinals. They simply had too much momentum after knocking out the Mets. It doesn't matter how you do in the regular season, it's all about how you do in the playoffs.

I agree, that entire 2006 NLCS was crazy. When I saw Endy Chavez rob that home run by Scott Rolen I just thought to myself "oh crap". But then Yadi turns around and hits one just about in the same spot, only a few feet farther, and I started screaming "Rob that Endy!"

I was at that 2004 Game 6.  It was awesome!!

However, my favorite Cardinal moment in the past decade was game 5 of the 2005 NLCS.  The Cards were trailing 4-2 with 2 outs in the top of the 9th facing the nearly unhittable Brad Lidge.  The Houston crowd is already partying. Then Eck singles. Edmonds walks.  Then Albert hits a bomb that still hasn't come down.  Minute Maid goes dead silent.  Unfortunately Houston goes on to win game 6.  Otherwise, that blast goes down as one of the greatest post season HR's ever.

My honoroable mention moments:

Ankiel's two assist night vs. the Rockies.

Edmonds catch in game 7 of the 2004 NLCS.

Every single moment of the 2006 NLCS - the most exiciting 7 game series in memory.

specifically:  Taguchi's 9th inning go ahead HR against Billy Wagner in game 2.

;     &nbs

sp;     Suppans 8 scoreless innings and HR in game 3.

;     &nbs
p;     &nb
sp;     Yadi's 9th inning HR for the win in game 7.

Jack Buck was so good, that I would find myself still listening to games when they were really getting their butts kicked!

How about the speech by Jack Buck when it was time for baseball to resume after 9/11? That was a huge moment in all of baseball.

Bud, as much as that performance by Reyes in the 06 series sticks out, the one that sticks out the most in my mind by Anthony Reyes was the complete game 1 hitter he pitched against the White Sox in Chicago. Yes, the team lost the game, and Reyes got the loss. For those who don't remember, the lone hit was a solo home run by Jim Thome, and that was all they needed to beat the Cardinals that game. But wow, Reyes was simply brilliant that game, and I really thought that he was about to truly find his touch.

Yea but Jets fans are much worse than Giants fans and Buffalo fans are actually semi-decent

Anyway after you get done with the greatest go for the worst normally that is more interesting

Oh and cbs needs to stop the negative rating for commas I like them and they make my typing look much better

The pitching performance of Anthony Reyes in the 06 Series, I couldn't believe my eyes! After that , I knew the Cards would win it. It looks like it may be the highlight of Reyes' career.

N00b/Dolphins Fan! I'll give you credit, the Patriots getting beat holds weight in the sports world. Would have been better if it wasn't a team from New York that beat them though..
