Best player to play in the superbowl

If this is for one game only.....Then Doug Williams.    His Second Quarter against Denver is the best performance in Super Bowl History.

Best player to play in the superbowl

Best player in the superbowl, well u got so many out there like Joe Montana, Joe Namath, Jerry Rice, and it could go on for ever.

Though i would have to say after watching Kurt Warner but up a nice amount of yards on the number 1 defense in the NFL this year and maybe one of the best all time, plus he has the most yard thrown in the superbowl games, more then Young, Aikmen and many other greats tht have played, so i would have to say Warner has my vote....and should be in the hall of fame one day to.....

Best player to play in the superbowl

Sammy Smith of coarse for a single game.

Kurt Warner has the 3 top passing performances.

Best player / athelete has to go to Tony Dorsett.

Best athelete to grace the playing field Bo Jackson.

Best player to play in the superbowl

the only reason he even had to make those plays is because he fell behind holmesand was forced to catch back up if he had stayed with holmes those would've been easy deflections

Best player to play in the superbowl

Rogers -Cromartie also had two spectacular TD saving plays where he knocked passes away from recievers.

You want to kick dirt in the faces of players, history has more guys that have been burned in Superbowls than there are cocoa krispies. You can start last year with Ellis Hobbs (or should I say Hobbit?) who was toasted by Plaxico Buress, or how about the helmet catch against Rodney Harrison? Lito Shepard of the Eagles against the Pats in '04? The entire Rams secondary against the Pats in '01? No single player should ever be blamed for a loss.........I coach Pop Warner football and every year we get a new group of 6 and 7 year olds who've never played a day of football in their lives and in many cases don't understand the game. Every year an experienced 8 year old gets toasted by a 6 year old who has just a little more skill.....I see the same thing in college and the pros. There are players who just have that minute 'something' that makes them special in special circumstances and those circumstances make the difference.

As we tell our kids year in and year out....."You win as a team and you lose as a team"...nuff said.

Best player to play in the superbowl

I don't know about the best, but the worst or at least close to the worst has to be that lazy RODGERS - CROMARTIE guy.  I don't care about the picks he had against Carolina orduring the regular season.  He was abused throughout the whole game.  Wherever he was Pitt threw it his way.

He was matched up with Holmes all game.  He didn't cover him, didn't tackle him, made a bad face mask on a long Pitt drive in the second half.  Holmes got behind him in the endzone the play before the winning score. He then was trailing him on the very next play which turned out to be the winning score.

Sometimes numbers don't tell the whole story, especially when it comes to a D back with a bunch of interceptions.  This guy is a joke and should be looking for a job today.  Despite all the analysts and experts declaring him a shut down corner and potential All - Pro.

I would have pulled him on the final drive if I was on Cards staff.

Best player to play in the superbowl

Its arguable as to who is the best player to play in the Bowl.  Athlete?  Don't forget about T.O.

But will someone try an argue with me on the worst player in Super Bowl history being that RODGERS - CROMARTIE guy or number 29 for the Cards.  All week he got all the hype as a shut down corner who would be matched up with Holmes.  Now Holmes is skilled and talented, but Rodgers - Cromartie made him look like a hall of famer.

Didn't cover, didn't tackle, a bad facemask on a long Steeler drive.  The Steelers just looked his way and threw it at him all game long.  I would have benched him in the final drive if I was part of Cards staff.
