Early word from Georgia Pro Day... Moreno = 4.60

Every team in the league is likely to be represented at Georgia's Pro Day today, as potential #1 pick Matthew Stafford is going to be throwing. He did not throw at the Combine.

The early word out of the workout is that Knowshon Moreno has again run a disappointingly slow time in the 40-yard dash. Moreno measured in at 5-10 5/8", 217 pounds at the Combine and was electronically timed at 4.62 and 4.68 seconds in his two attempts at the 40 in Indianapolis.

He reportedly weighed in at 210 pounds today, but still clocked a similar time: 4.60 and 4.63 on his two attempts...

More, including a report on Stafford's throwing, to come...

Early word from Georgia Pro Day... Moreno = 4.60

49ers won't take a QB period, so expect Stafford's slide to continue.

Early word from Georgia Pro Day... Moreno = 4.60

Maybe your update will have opposite results for Matt Stafford but the only one more overrated than Stafford is Moreno.  I laughed when I saw him going #15 to the Texans in a mock draft.  They struck gold with a stud dual threat in Steve Slaton in the 3rd round.  Ahman Green can be average height, hefty and slow too. I don't think Moreno is a first rounder period.  I saw him hurdle that guy too.  But that wasn't Ed Reed or Brian Urlacher barreling down on him.  I pray, sorry Matt, you throw awful so the Lions dont even contemplate picking you.  Wish you the best though, you just arent a #1 pick and not what we need right now.  Now, I think you will slip to 10 and the 49ers will snag him.  If not, the only top 15 team besides them with a "possible" QB upgrade need is the Jaguars but they invested alot in Garrard and have to give him one not so hot year before they move on.  With the Chiefs acquiring Matt Cassel, I could see Stafford going at 10 and then maybe the Jets snagging Sanchez or Freeman but I think they address other needs and give Kellen Clemens a shot still.  This is how I think the draft should go anyways, dont reach extremely for a QB because everyone in the world places the biggest premium on them but forget the don't come with a money back guarantee.
