Georgia Tech's Stephen Hill had only 28 catches in 2011, but he showcased why NFL teams should consider him in the top-50 selections of the draft, running an unofficial 4.30 40-yard dash Sunday morning. A junior who declared early for the 2012 NFL Draft, Hill has the fastest unofficial time thus far at the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Hill, who is currently ranked as NFLDraftScout's No. 7 wide receiver, wasn't a big part of Georgia Tech's triple option offense, leading the team with only 5 receiving scores. However, he is looking to follow in the foot steps of Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas who had limited production in the same offense, but performed well in the pre-draft process. Thomas was the first wide receiver drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, 22nd overall to the Broncos.
A raw talent with size and speed, Hill is an excellent development prospect with intriguing upside.
