My bad. When you were using the Joe Montana example. I thought you were talking about taking out every year without the Chiefs. My bad. Should have asked you to clarify that earlier; instead of assuming what you meant.

No, we should probably leave that issue alone since i guess we were not all on the same page when this began.

Yeah I agree, in the end we're all friends! One of us will just have bragging rights...

"Can we point out the years/stats issues? Or does that just depend on how vigilant we want to be? I don't want to play dirty or anything."

Haha, i guess it's up to you. Do you want to be a Dungy type coach(classy) or a BB type coach(no comment). No, we should probably leave that issue alone since i guess we were not all on the same page when this began.

Hey now, Albert Lewis still reeled in 6 INT's in 1993 before leaving to go play for you know who. The problem is that i doubt anyone voting will really spend a whole lot of time researching or remembering who did what in certain years. This is why i don't think it would've mattered much if we clarified the rules better or not.

Anyways, it's too late to fix the miscommunication now so i'll just post my original guidelines and leave it all up for interpretation by the voters. True Chiefs fans will just remember names and how good the player was as a Chief anyways and they probably won't take the other stuff into much consideration. I don't this will cause too many problems.

Yah, in retrospect I think Montana, DT, Neil Smith, Deron Cherry, Albert Lewis, Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez should have been the top picks because on name alone they will garner several votes .  Montana is probably the third or fourth best QB of this era, Cherry and Lewis are not great in the era either.   Oh well, still a fun exercise no doubt.

"The decade that they were at their best does not matter; as long as it was with the Kansas City Chiefs. You are getting that player at his best with the Kansas City Chiefs."

Well, originally it was supposed to matter. I guess i needed to clarify that but i thought it was understood. If you were getting players who were in their prime in the early 80's that played into the 90's, they are only supposed to be as good as they were in the 1990's. It was supposed to work like that so we were only using players within the 1990-2009 range. If you got someone who was a rookie in 1980 but played until 1992, it wouldn't make since for a draft like this to get the player from 1980.... it's a 1990- present draft. This is why i used the Joe Montana example so that everyone knew you were just getting the players who played for the Chiefs during the 1990-present timeframe.

Offense

QB Steve Deberg
RB Todd Mcnair
WR Andre Rison
WR2 Lake Dawson
OL Irv Eatman
OL Joe Valerio
OL Kendall Gammon
OL Danny Villa
OL Barry Richardson

Defense

LE Neil Smith
NT Bill Maas
RE Glen Dorsey

I'll write a short on the offense and the defense once I have everyone lined up properly.

"2. We will assume that the player you draft is only as good as his best years as a member of the Chiefs. In other words, you aren't getting 49er's Montana, but the Chiefs Montana." -The Orginial rule posted by D2B2.

Yep. Finally found it. The second rule on the first post. I was getting scared there for a second. Thought at least 1/3 of my defense was going to completely fall apart overnight.

It still restricted to one time period, ShoeShine. There were just some cracks in the walls that some of us (Me included.) took advantage. Rather it was D2B2's intention, or not to have those cracks there, idk, but I like the idea of this draft/league; regardless.
