Predict the Playoffs Week 1

Posted on: January 8, 2010 3:07 pm
Hello NFL Fans,

This season has had some big surprises. Both for the teams that were eliminated from the playoffs, such as the Steelers and Giants and for a couple of teams that made the playoffs, such as the Jets and Cowboys. With the games starting tomorrow (I apologize for being a little late with this post, I have been under the weather) I would like to know who you think will win on Saturday and Sunday. There are a few repeat match ups and this weekend should prove to be a hot weekend. I would also like to know some other answers other then just the winners. I will list those questions below with the picks. SO let's hear what you think NFL fans and good luck this weekend if your team made the playoffs. Here are my picks below.

11-09-10 - 4:30 PM - Jets @ Bengals - Winner: Jets by 10

11-09-10 - 8:00 PM - Eagles @ Dallas - Winner: Eagles by 17

11-10-10 - 1:00 PM - Ravens @ Patriots - Winner: Patriots by 7

11-10-10 - 4:30 PM - Packers @ Cardinals - Winner: Packers by 10

Which game is your "sure thing" win?  Mine: Patriots over Ravens

Which game is your "sure thing" loss?  Mine: Cowboys lose to Eagles

Which team out of the 8 playing this weekend has the best shot to make the Superbowl?  My Pick: Packers

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

What a crazy weekend of football. I went 1-3 with my picks and I found the three I lost to be very surprising and impressive. I was so surprised by the wins, that I couldn't even tell you which one was the bigger upset, in my opinion. Stay tuned for the Week 2 prediction thread coming soon.

Dallas beat the Eagles

Baltimore beat the Patriots

Arizona beat the Packers in OT in a great game.

@Pats - hey buddy, sorry about your team getting eliminated. I really thought they would win for sure. I am positive you must be just as shocked as I am. We always have next season and I'm both the Giants and Patriots will be better teams. Keep your head up!

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

The Jets beat the Bengals 24-14 tonight in a great game. Mark Sanchez becomes only the 4th rookie QB to win a playoff game. The Jets defense looked good but still gave up a bunch of rushing yards. My prediction of the Jets winning by 10 points was dead on correct. I'm going to enjoy that for now because the rest of my picks could end up being wrong lol. Get ready for the Cowboys vs. Eagles game coming on shortly.

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

Anything can happen in the playoffs. Any of us can be right and any of us can easily be wrong. Each of the 8 teams will have 60 minutes (the total length of a proffesional football game) to prove that they are the better team that will acheive victory and advance to the next round. Football has the best postseason out of all of them, baseball comes close, but football gets a slight edge for being only 1 game.

Do not be that upset about not being in postseason play. I had to go through the same thing last year (do not be shocked, it is true), and I got through it, and you will get over it also, I do not know if it will take as long as I did, but it will pass. Giantsr1eva is one of the biggest Giants fan ever and he has already let it go. He got over in only 2 days, because he knew that there will be more New York Giants football in only 8 months, 7 if you include preseason, which I do not count.

Breaking in new coaches is tough. Back in 2005, we lost our offensive and defensive coordinators, but we are still a great franchise because our main coach is still here. And it does help that he is the greatest coach to ever coach football. Your main head coach is still there and the Giants can still have a great future ahead of them.

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

My bad, I meant that the Packers have the best shot at going to the Super Bowl. Not the Playoffs, I think that I was focusing more on the Playoffs than the Super Bowl I guess.

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

This is what I say:

Bengals will defeat the Jets.

Dallas will force turnovers early in the game and eventually beat the Eagles.

Patriots are just too good for the Ravens to handle.

Packers will beat the Cardinals again.

Sure win: Patriots over Ravens

Sure loss: Cardinals will lose to the Packers.

The Packers are definatly the team with the best shot at the Playoffs.

Predict the Playoffs Week 1

Hey Guys,

Those are some good picks. To be honest, the season has been so crazy that I'm not sure who is going to win any of these games. Things always heat up during the playoffs and anything can happen from here on out. Some of you could be right and I might be dead wrong. We will know more by tomorrow. I'm still upset about the Giants getting eliminated. They started firing coaches there already and it may take a while for the new coaches to mend with the team. I do not like having to break in new coaches. Oh well, what can you do. Anyway, great picks and we will see what happens. God Bless!
