In the NBA there are many players who are on the cusp of stardom. Here a list of players who I think have the potential to have big seasons.

1. Derrick Rose 6-4 PG Chicago Bulls

Analysis: Showed he was the best guard in his draft. He played great in the playoffs averaging 19.7 points and 6.3 assists. With Ben Gordon gone Rose will have full control of this team.

2. Anthony Randolph 6-10 PF Golden State Warriors

Analysis: Randolph is a great young player with a desire to become better. At 6-10 he is very quick and has good ball handling ability. He is an intense competitor and will become a great player as long as Don Nelson gives him the minutes he deserves.

3. Aaron Brooks 6-0 PG Houston Rockets

Analysis: With Yao Ming out for the year look for the Rockets to play a up-tempo style of basketball. This should increase his potential as Aaron Brooks will be allowed to use his speed to push the ball and create shots for his teammates and his self.

4. JaVale McGee 7-0 C Washington Wizards

Analysis: McGee is a very athletic big man. He is the type of big men that Wizards have needed for the last few years. With Arenas back, the Wizards will play a higher tempo style of basketball. If McGee can overtake Haywood as the starter look for him to have a big season.

5. Michael Beasley 6-9 SF/PF Miami Heat

Analysis: In the last 5 games of the regular season Michael Beasley averaged 24.2 points and 11.2 rebounds. It is clear that when Beasley starts he is a more valuable and focused player. If Erik Spolestra starts beasley this upcoming season he may be the NBA's most improved player.

6. Brook Lopez 7-0 C New Jersey Nets

Analysis: With Carter gone Lopez will be the #2 scoring option for the Nets. He has a good post up game and has solid 17 foot jumpshot. He could average somewhere between 15 and 18 points with a lot of rebounds.

7. Channing Frye 6-11 PF Phoenix Suns

Analysis: Channing Frye's play has declined since teasing the Knicks in his rookie season. I think play with Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire will allow Frye to show his great skill set.

8. Paul Milsap 6-7 PF Utah Jazz

Analysis: Has double-double written all over him. He was great when Boozer went down and will great if Boozer gets traded. Expect big things from the young Jazz forward next year.

Others:

Wilson Chandler, Nick Young, Jason Thompson, Marc Gasol, Boris Diaw, and Al Horford

Potential Breakout Players in the NBA for 08-09

Rose will be Top three PG in two years just behind Paul and Williams. This young bulls (have a lot of good players as John Salmons,Kirk Hinrich,Jannero Pargo, and Luol Deng) will continues to get better under him for sure.

Anthony Randolph (one of best talent in the league) ----  I want to call him the best improve player of 2010 (maybe little too early). I think that he will be one of best PF in the future(possible Top 5 in two years)

Aaron, Lopez, Frye and McGee Whom I doubt about it. Not really to call it because They are way off than First two (Rose and Randolph).

Millsap already one of best PF in my mind, and he Possible one of Top 5 PF as today. He can produce 20 points and 12 Rebounds a game which is good enough to prove it.

How about Jeff Green, Ronnie Brewer, Randy Roye, Al Horford, Russell Westbrook and Al Jefferson??????

I absolutely agree with you that Derrick Rose will have a breakout season. The thing with him is that Ben Gordon is gone, so there aren't as much scoring options for him to dish to. You have John Salmons,Kirk Hinrich,Jannero Pargo, and Luol Deng. Salmons can shoot the three ball,Hinrich is more of a point guard because he dribbles,Pargo is not an upgrade of Ben Gordon, and Luol Deng has to prove himself. Furthermore, Derrick Rose has the ball in his hands more which means more shots, and he experienced the playoffs which raises the growth of his game, big time. Anthony Randolph is a very athletic and versatile player and will get the minutes and fill up the box score sheet. MIchael Beasley will probably get the start, now that Shawn Marion is gone, and he can absolutely produce if a starter. Another player I definitely think will have a breakout season is O.J. Mayo because he had a great rookie season and he has Zach Randolph to take the pressure off of him, as well as the regulars in Mike Conley,Rudy Gay, and Marc Gasol. Other than that, this list/post is very accurate, and Wilson Chandler is a great player because he is athletic, can shoot the ball, and more importantly is a great defender, the sky is the limit for him.

Absolutely agree with you on Derrick Rose.  His hometown Bulls will be his team to lead.  He will carry the load in the backcourt now with Ben Gordon off to the Pistons.  Rose will be able to shoot more and have the ball in his hands as games wind down.  By the end of the year Rose could be regarded as a top five point.
Glad you mentioned the Knicks Wilson Chandler.  My opinion might be a bit biased since I had the chance to watch the kid play in high school here in Southwest Michigan, but he is a great player in the waiting.  I see New York improving big time this season and their biggerst breakout guy being Chandler.
Brook Lopez surprised me last year.     There aren't many centers in the NBA who play both ends like Lopez showed he can last season.  He might just continue to play better for an under the radar Nets team.
