Let's Go Heat

Alright, we all know that the biggest move this season is the Heat aqquiring Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh all in the same year. The real question is... How will it turn out?
Well let me take you on a journey to the land of The Heat.
So we know that the heat are going to need some help. They can't live off of LeBron Dwyane and Bosh alone.
But from what I see we have some pretty nice veteran players begging to get on the team. Zyrandraus got on the team for the league minimun to play with the probable National Champs. Many other players will likely follow suit, and the Heat will have some great talent to pick from.
They also have Mario Chalmers at Point Guard, and I think that he may be the next Rajon Rondo success story. Stepping into a star-filled team and growing as a playerunder the wings of the great.
If you listen to LeBron he says that he believes that they can all still get their averages from the previous seasons, because they will be able to shoot better shots because of the triple threat on the court. I think that it will probably work out like that, but the big question is, will it work? We'll have to wait and see.

Debunking the "took less money" MYTH

Lebron signed a 6 year $110 million dollar deal....only $15 mill less than what C town could have given him.  ANd with no state income taxes the actualy take home pay numbers are extremely CLOSE.  SO all this Lebron sacrifcing this ir that for the sake of winning is ALL BS.....so will the Heat zombies stop crying that ridiculous statement....please....your king didn't take this massive pay cut to be in Miami.

inmates running the asylum

Pat Riley thinks he's a genius but these prima-donnas will implode by the second year, Especially when they don't even reach the finals next year. Not to mention, I know Dwyane Wade already has herpes, LeBron James had to catch something in the womb from his whore of a mother, and she will undoubtedly give Chris Bosh some kind of STD. Can't wait to see all these guys on the bench soaking there infected johnsons with topical creams and ointments. The big three should be called "The Itch", "The Burn", and "The Drip"! Riley was a genius with the Lakers, then he turned into a thug monger with the Knicks, and now he is turning the Miami Heat into a VD clinic.

Let's Go Heat

As a fellow Heat fan let me throw out a few things:
1)  NO.  Mario Chalmers will not be the next Rajon Rondo.  We found out this year that Rondo is really not a product of the other 3.   He is a great, great player who slipped through the scouting cracks.  Highest basketball IQ I have seen in a long, long time.  He is a legitimately great player.  If Chalmers had that kind of ability at all, we would have seen soooooo much more playing alongside D-Wade the last two years.   Having said that, Chalmers is a smart, unafraid player and will certainly improve as a result of the greatness of his teammates.   I do not expect him to play at crunch time.  Wade at the 1 and Miller at the 2 makes much more sense.
2)   I agree with the idea that their FG%s should improve.  With the perimeter defense rules the NBA has now, having Wade and James almost guarantees the Heat will get into the lane at will.  They are just too fast and you cannot double both at the same time.  However, I expect their numbers will be just as good but different.  I expect Lebron to have his assists go up and his points go down.  I expect Wade to have less assists and more points. And I would not be surprised at all if Chris Bosh led them in scoring either.  People who do not think Lebron and Wade can play well together are being ridiculous.  They are not like Kobe.....they came into the NBA wired to "make the right play".  They both love to pass.  Kobe took years to get there....now he is the consummate winner.  Lebron and Wade just are not selfish guys.  I think you will see lots of highlight reel passing this year in South Florida.
3)  The idea in the first place that the Heat had to find great role players to succeed was flawed.  Yes, obviously I am thrilled they could sign Mike Miller, Big Z and especially Haslem.  All three bring skills to the table that directly complement what Wade and Lebron do.  It is better than anyone thought Pat Riley could do (I think the media should stop doubting him at this point, amirite?).
However, even if they had not been able to keep all these guys I still liked them to get out of the East.  (Lakers are basically as stacked as Miami so that is a different story).  People are just not getting what it means to have Lebron and Wade.  It's two of the best 3 players in the league (or 4 depending on your views on Dwight Howard).  How many free throws are they going to shoot in the playoffs?  40 a game?  50 a game?  I can already see NBA bloggers and fans whining about it.
