Should Jet Fans Hate Brett Favre?

I do now.

I was one of the 1st people to run out and buy the #4 Jets jersey. I could not have been more happy at the time. Was I just to stupid to see what was really going on? I (along with most people) was always a huge Favre fan and welcomed him with open arms. But, Brett Favre used the Jets for a one year route out of Green Bay on his way to the Vikings. He said he didn’t want anything to do with the Jets and then faked his way through an interception filled season at the expense of this organization. Now he will get his wish and be with the Vikings. I hope all Jets fans will now see last season for what it was and will have a little more forethought when similar situations pop up in the future. It’s embarrassing what he did to this team and our guys. Thank goodness Thomas Jones and Kerry Rhodes stood up for the group. Looks like everyone in Green this year, wants to be here! We got the coach we need and we have our "Golden Boy". I guess I can't hate Brett too much, he is actually the ONLY reason we got Rex Ryand and Mark Sanchez. Brett got Mangini fired and Pennington shipped away. I didn't love either of those 2 particularlly, but it seems everyone has found their place now.

As a Jets fan, I could not be any happier going into the 2009 season. I am far more excited about 09 than 08 (and trust me I was excited).

And if the on the feild excitement is not enough, at least we have the " Flight Crew" returning and doubling in size. Thank god for the cheerleaders.

Honestly, I would much rather see Michael Vick playing this year than Brett Favre. I mean, I own 4 dogs, one actually being a pitbull and I do not see how he could do such bad things to such loyal dogs, but he paid his price. He did his time. He deserves that 2nd chance. I would much rather see the Adrian Peterson and Mike Vick show, than the Favre AP show. We know its all about Favre at that point. RETIRE OLD MAN! FOR REAL THIS TIME!. Seriously though, he really must be waiting for a career ending injury via the Packers. Wouldn't that make things  come full circle and be really fitting? I don't mean a life changing injury, just something to knock this old man out of this game FOR GOOD!

the NFL should do us all a favor and sack Favre for 16 games, I'm so tired of him.

Soloking, i completely agree with you. Do you remember, even when he was with Green Bay at like age 32, 33 and 34, he would always hint at retirement. I remember they all though he wanted to fish and hunt and his love for the game was diminishing. He wanted that attention. He wanted that "Oh please don't go Brett...We NEED you!!!". I give 1 million percent credit to the Packers by them just moving on and sticking with Rodgers last year. All this media is annoying. WHO CARES!!!! I mean, him comming to the Jets was exciting for me, being a Jets fan, but , come on already. We have been through this once already.Twice already. Jesus christ, this may happen til AJ Hawk knocks his head off. I can't wait for Charles Woodsen on the CB blitz to end his career. If you don't want to do it yourself Brett, im sure there are plenty of Packers waiting to light you up. You do all know what this is all about right? His record. He broke basically every conceiveable record and is tryin to pad his numbers to make it that much harder to beat. He obviously mailed it in the after the BYe week with the Jets. He didn't care. He doesn't love the game. Thats why even if he is a Viking, he won't win. But I guess that sets if up for a Adrian Peterson and Mike Vick combo in 2010.

Dear N.F.L. Fans:  I do not know about the rest of you, but, I'm so tired and bored with the ever ongoing Brett Favre saga.  Retiring, unretiring, over and over , year after year.  Who really cares other than some ownership who wants to fill stadium seats.  Favre's best years are behind him.  He is older, slower, and recurring injuries could be an issue now.  It seems as an outsider looking in, that, he gets great pleasure letting everyone hang, week after week, while he gets continual press.    The media and desperate owners should not add fuel to his fire.  Give him a deadline to sign, or send him out to the pasteur permanently.  I could see his last hurrah being a one year Viking contract, so that he can stick it to the Packers twice this year.  I rather watch grass grow than read anything more about B.F.  Please media, put a " The End " on this story once and for all.  It truly makes me nauseous.       soloking2

There's really no predicting it yet. Training camp didn't even start yet. But Rex Ryan loves Mark Sanchez from the mini camps after the draft. You have Kerry Collins starting for you. Vince Young will either wait a couple years, learn how to really play the game, and then come in and start when Kerry Collins time is up. Or he will be released or traded if he starts making demands. He get's paid too much money to sit on the bench and for him to complain about it would be stupid. He will wait.

Is Sanchez gonna start this year for you guys? I was just wondering I haven't heard any rumors or much talk on the Jets. I'm a Titans fan. Vince Young is about to drive me crazy. lol
