Just to be Blount

Well, that was an interesting start to the season.  Oregon played a terrible game against Boise State and lost after having several opportunities to get back into the game. What happened after the game made it that much worse.  LeGarrette Blount punched a Boise State player and made a scene of it afterwards. Oregon has suspended him for the season.  I don't know that they necessarily needed to go that far, but I really don't have a problem with it. This guy rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. However, he had -5 yards rushing and 13 yards receiving last night.  It was probably best for Oregon if they did not have to deal with him the rest of the season.  This will live with Blount the rest of his life, whether he likes it or not.  That is most unfortunate. That summed up a sub-par first night of college football that including an upset of Villanova over Temple in the battle of Philadelphia and South Carolina surviving against North Carolina State.
