Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee. (KJV)
When someone invites you into their home, do you not enter with the unspoken understanding that you are to abide by the house rules? Do you accept their hospitality with the intention of insulting them and their other guests or causing strife in the household? Courtesy, civility, and mutual respect should be the order of the day when visiting. You should also not overstay your welcome, thereby avoiding placing your host in the uncomfortable position of having to suggest it’s time to go home.
Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings in our lives. Abba Lord, have Your Holy Spirit teach us how to behave when invited into someone else’s home. Have us be respectful of others while there and to not overstay our welcome. Do not allow us to act in such a way as to bring into question our conduct. When we depart, may we do so with grace and with good wishes for a speedy reunion.
We lift our prayers up to You in the Name of Your Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.
Good morning to one and all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours for a safe and wonder-filled day.
May God Bless,
