Okafor vs Chandler

Posted on: July 28, 2009 1:25 am
Let me start by saying 14 and 11 for his career and has avg DD each season, Chandler 8 and 9 for his career, not sure what is going on here, hopefully Bobcats know something that I don't because on the surface this trade is terrible.  I like Okafor, a workhorse in my book, chandler can run the floor and definitely finish on the alley oop, but he is somewhat soft and I just do not see him being at the same level.

Oh well, tough to be a bobcat fan today.

Okafor vs Chandler

its all about the height. the bobcats were going nowhere with a 6'9 frontline.  that can't compete with any elite frontcourts. numbers or not, height does matter and Brown took a risk, but i kind of like it. put chandler in a lineup that features a great passing big man (diaw), a high flyer like Wallace, with a pass-first PG in Felton and you are getting close to a legitimate basketball team.

Okafor vs Chandler

Regardless of how you feel about Okafor, you have to admit that he is worth more than the expiring contracts that the Hornets traded Chandler for at last season's deadline. How did Chandler's value go up since then is beyond me. It is not like teams were beating down the Hornets door to get him. Maybe the basketball "media" was sleeping but I did not heard anyone talking about Chandler as if he was some hot property.

Chandler is an okay players but this looks to be another desperate move by the Bobcats. This move does not put them any closer to the playoffs, in fact I think it does the exact opposite. Okafor never drew double teams on the block but he was able to post up and be respected. Chandler gets no respect with the ball in his hands. Who cares if Chandler can handle the ball if he can not score!

It is crystal clear why the Bobcats made this move, and it would have got my approval if they would have expanded the deal. I would have loved to seen Julian Wright added to the Bobcats. Short of that I would be happy to have seen Nazr contract traded for Mo Peterson.

Seriously if Okafor is out the door, after signing his contract summer 08, how much longer can fans expect G. Wallace to around. There is no way the Bobcats are going to sign Felton long-term. This team is dead in the water until it is sold.

Okafor vs Chandler

don't say peja is back from an injury...there's a new one every month.  i wouldn't hold my breath on him staying healthy.  either way, okafor is a great deal.  cp3 will turn him into a star.  he's the reason chandler was as good as he was.

Okafor vs Chandler

Are you a Hornets fan now? You better be, cause they're back! Okafor will be awesome with cp3 dishing out passes to him and everyone else. Plus Stoyacsavich (how do you spell his name?) is back from an injury.

I was a Bobcat fan until this trade happened.  Ridiculously retarded.
