Bridge Alex Puyol (c) Mancienne
Substitutes: Manager: Harry Redknapp
I can see this being a one goal game with the defence of BigD. So I have moved eduardo to the subs bench and moved Ronaldo into the middle so that he can use Raul as a target man which should open up some space for him. Joe Cole has been moved out to the left and Belletti brought into the right of midfield. I don't really expect him to run at people but he has lots of skill, has a cracking shot and can play defence. Ballack has been dropped back to a more common midfield role and with more defence in mind.
Goalkeeper: There are a lot of good keepers out there and Iker Casillas would most definetly be in the top tier. I didn't see Real Madrid lashing out lots of cash for a goalie during the off season. They must be happy and so am I.
Defence: The defence and the team would be marshalled by Carlos Puyol from a centre back position, an added bonus for Puyol is the fact that he is comfortable playing any postion along the back four. Treble winner, enough said. His partner in the centre back position would be Alex, a player that goes from strength to strength and I can't wait to see what sort of a year he has for Chelsea. Big, strong and capable of scoring goals. Wayne Bridge is at the left back position and I am glad to see he is with a team where he can showcase his talents a lot more. A backup for Ashley Cole at Chelsea and England there are some people who believe that he is better than Cole. I am one of those people, or at least I was until the second half of last season when Cole finally started to deliver. Bridge likes to get forward and can also score goals, I hope he has a great season with City. Michael Mancienne at right back and another player that likes to get forward he is also a big part of the England U-21 setup. Mr.Puyol would ensure that he also takes his defensive duties seriously.
Midfield: I kind of like the diamond formation with Michael Ballack playing up top., here is a ball winning playmaker with a thunderous shot and a head like a piece of granite. A great guy running into the box with or without the ball. I have Owen Hargreaves playing in front of the defence, this guy will run until his heart bursts (or his knee gives out) also an out and out ball winner. Joe Cole out on the right wing and can also play on the left. Razzle dazzle playmaker who scores beautiful goals. Cristiano Ronaldo, if I have to tell you about this guy maybe you are on the wrong web site. A big hand in Man.Utd winning the league for the last two seasons, if they don't win it this year the proof will be in the pudding. Is there anything this guy does not do? Oh yeh, defend! That's why we have defenders and a defence midfielder, have at 'er Ronaldo. Personally I cannot stand this guy, but I would rather put up with his antics playing for me than hate him playing against me.
Forward: Coming off a horrific leg injury this talented feller is going to light the league up for Arsenal this year. Of course I am talking about Eduardo who would be partnered up front with Raul who happens to have a very handy resume. Experience and youth will get it done.
Substitutes: Wes Brown more than capable at right back or centre back. Juliano Belletti can play centre back, right back, right, centre and defensive midfield. He also has a half handy shot on him. Definetly a fans player which was re-iterated when he played in Barcelona with Chelsea and received a rousing ovation from the Barca fans. When they mention players that give 110%, he would be there. Berbatov would come off the bench to sub for the forwards, hopefully he can find the form that he had with Spurs.
Manager: This whole schmozzle would be managed by Harry Redknapp, a more than capable manager but not in the top tier. We'll see what he does with Spurs this year. I love his personality and he does know the game inside and out.
Tactics: Looking for movement up the wings from the backs and would have the wingers attacking the backs, also the full backs over lapping the wingers when the opportunity arises.
Alex would be up for corners and free kicks just to have his size and strength in the box. Ronaldo on the free kicks is a no brainer. Owen Hargreaves would help out the defense and if needed I would revert to a flat midfield from the diamond formation with Ballack dropping back from an attacking midfield position.
Right then, sorted!
