Here are a couple of games I like to cover this week and they are in no specific order. 

All spreads are as of Thursday.


#1  South Florida / Pitt  - 6.5

Bulls are coming off their first loss.  Turnovers killed them against the Bearcats.  This team is better than last week, but don't touch this game if it's below 40 degrees!  Pitt has played no one.


#2  Florida St. / UNC  -2.5

Carolina is -2.5 at home.  If they were a home dog maybe, but Virginia held UNC to 3 points at home.  The Noles defense is about as bad as the UNC offense and the FSU defense is banged up.  FSU is desperate and I have to go with my main old man Bobby Bowden on this one.  UNC has beat these guys once in 30+ meetings.  Should be a doozy = zzzzzzzzz.


#3  Baylor / Oklahoma St. - 9.5

Call me crazy but I like the Bears in this one.  OSU is without Dez Bryant and Kendall Hunter and have been ok without both, but I see the Baylor squad playing a good game at home this week.  Call it a hunch.


#4  Washington / Oregon - 10     - LOCK OF THE WEEK -

I know, I know.  Oregon's offense is awesome, but Jeremiah Masoli (QB) is day to day and will be banged up if he plays.  I really like Washington at home, especially +10.  They beat USC at home, so they can play with anyone.  And I like Jake Locker and would love to see him in a Rams uniform next year.  I like the Huskies to win this game straight up!

#5  Missouri / Texas -12.5

12.5 at Mizzou?  If Texas would have lost to OU maybe.  Missouri will come out and stick it to Colt McCoy.  As long as Missouri wins the turnover battle here, they cover easy!

Ole Miss (-6) to cover against Arkansas.  The Hogs will be on let down from the swamp's officials. I love this game.
Washington to cover against Oregon.
