The Eagles brought in Michael Vick this offseason, with many objections. I was not a fan of Vick, while he was playing with the Falcons, but I started rooting for the guy, when he got out of prison. I think he deserved a second chance. Enough about that.
Having a playmaker like Vick on the team could provide a spark on offense, but Andy Reid hasn't used Vick in that capacity. Vick's addition was supposed to add a dynamic dimension to an already stacked Philadelphia offense. The Eagles experimented with the wildcat, with Vick and Donovan McNabb on the field together, with Vick playing wide receiver.
If Vick can't even get on the field when the Eagles are struggling to move the ball, then what's the point of having him around?
Vick's heaviest action came in his Week 3 debut against Kansas City when he saw the field for 11 snaps (0-of-2 passing, one rush for seven yards).
Doesn't Vick need to be on the field for that threat to be worthwhile? For all the sound and fury surrounding Vick's return, he's bringing next to nothing to Philadelphia right now.
Hey, Andy: when your offense if failing, let Vick get some action. The guy has a cannon arm and the ability to make things happen with his feet. It would be a nice change of pace! You need to try something, because your current attack isn't working.
