NASCAR Camping World Truck Series veteran driver Jason White has hit the jackpot - literally.

Sirius NASCAR Radio's "Sirius Speedway" reports White will team up for the upcoming NCWTS season with the brand new Joe Denette Motorsports team. Denette is a lifelong race fan who won the $75.6 million Virginia State Lottery in May of 2009. Denette took the $47.8 million lump sum payment and has decided to invest a portion of it into a NASCAR race team.

White will bring long-time sponsor gunbroker.com along with him to the start-up team and after finishing tenth in the standings a year ago has high hopes for 2011.

The team will run its operation from the Tri-Star Motorsports Nationwide Series operation in Mooresville, North Carolina and there are plans to possibly field a second entry in selected races.

I guess that is a dream come true for him. Wish him and Gunbroker team lots of luck. In his position I think i'd buy a racetrack and bribe NASCAR officials to bring a race there. That would be a better investment. Then again let me think about that after I hit the jack pot. Stay tuned and I'll let you know if I follow thru with that.

I hope he wins another lottery soon, becuase $47 million in NASCAR can been gone in a matter of weeks. Each truck prolly costs around $1 million to make from the ground up, `have a bad weekend and wreck during qualify, then wreck the back up truck and it could spell disaster for that new team. I do wish them well and good luck!

I heard someone once say it's easy to make a small fortune in racing.  You just have to start out with a big fortune.

Seriously though, this is cool.  I wish them luck as well.

I'd do exactly the same thing if I were in the same position.  Lots of good luck and success to Joe, Jason, and that whole team.
