Jimmie Johnson still mad at Kurt Busch

Nearly a week has passed between last week's Jimmie Johnson-Kurt Busch tangle at Pocono but the time hasn't quieted the feud between the two drivers.

Johnson came out guns a blazing when he met the media Friday morning at Watkins Glen International Raceway and said he's not close to putting his rivalry with Busch behind him any time soon.

The five-time champion gave his opinion on why the on-track incident between the two on Pocono's last lap was one thing but what took place afterward on pit road was what really angered him.

"I'm not sure if any have had words with someone before, but when you're in that moment and you're having words with someone and as the crowd starts to build around, that guy all of the sudden gets brave and when you think it's over and you walk away and that guy gets real tough? I don't know about you, but that really makes me mad," Johnson said to the assembled media.

"Bottom line, he just started running his mouth. If you look at over the years and what his mouth has done for him: It got my biggest fan, Jimmy Spencer, to punch him in the face; it's led to issues with the NASCAR officials on pit road; I think we all tune in weekly and wonder what he's going to say to his crew guys; you look at what he said to Roger Penske, his car owner.

"So that aspect is the part that really got me mad. And at the end of the day, I'm not going to let him run his mouth at me. It's just kind of how it is."

Not only will the duo compete against each other in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at The Glen, they're both entered in Saturday's Nationwide Series event as well. Johnson will drive for JR Motorsports while Busch subs for Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski in the team's Dodge Challenger.

Johnson won't rule out things could boil over but doesn't plan on doing anything to jeopardize the chance to win or damaging his car.

"My first option is not to tear up race cars," he said. "I have too much respect for the guys working on my race cars and too much respect for Roger Penske and his organization to take it out there. That's not my goal, that's not my objective.

"I made zero contact with Kurt at Pocono. Once he hit me, then I leaned on him back. When I went to break the draft, I never touched him. Then he instigated the contact. That's not my goal."

As for how this relationship with Busch will impact his quest for a sixth straight Sprint Cup title once the Chase begins in September, Johnson sais it's going to business as usual and he's ready to focus on the bigger picture.

"There's no secret that there's no love lost between the two of us," he said. "We can do it; we have done it."

Jimmie Johnson still mad at Kurt Busch

Come on Jimmie. You ran into Kurt on a racing move on the last lap and he hit you back. That's racing dude. I has a lot of respect for you and more for Chad putting you in cars that won 5 championships in a row. It was respect that you earned because I as not a fan of yours at the beginning. But when you "ran your mouth" on Kurt on Friday, I lost a lot of respect. I love the perfection your team brought to the competition, but I bet a chimpanze who knew how to turn left could have won five in those cars. Bottom Line : shut up and drive and stop being a diva.

Go ahead and delete my ass, but you motherfuckers who blame JJ, a five time points champion, how can you condemn him for Busch's obvious jagoff moves, need to reconsider your lives and objectively look at the tape. Fuck, man, you guys need to re-evakuate your lives onevery level. Fuck you all!

Jimmie Johnson still mad at Kurt Busch

So all of a sudden when JJ comes down on a driver it's breaking the side draft, but when they swerve into him, that is running him over.

Now JJ is a big guy as he jumps out of his vehicle and curses a driver while he is still in the car, then when he finally climbs out, he walks away saying it's over, but when that guy starts to give him a piece of his mind, then  he is a chicken Sh*t.  Sure JJ.  Now we know how you really are.

Now he is so mad, Pour JJ,  Now I didn't see you stand back up to him when he called you off, then you came back as soon as you got a lot of your people between you.  Yea, JJ your such a tough guy.

Sorry, Coach, Just calling it like I saw it.  JJ is just as guilty as others.  I hope Kurt does put JJ into a trap this weekend.  It woudl serve him right after watching the piece of BS I just saw.

Wouldn't be more fun for race fans, and ultimately better for racing, if JJ sent the son of a bitch into the wall?

This one was easy, JJ thought KB got into him alittle at the exit of the turn, but truth was he just got loose, but because he thought KB had got into him alittle he ran KB down so KB ran him back up. GOOD RACING! Now as far as after the race when JJ went over to talk about what had happen, you see KB telling JJ to let him get out of car so they can talk and you see JJ saying YOU GOT INTO ME! and KB says NO! you ran me down the track so I ran you up!!! Then they said alot more that made me laugh...Anyway I'm sure JJ has gone back and watched the tape and see's that KB did not get into him at the exit of the turn so now it has turn into how he was talked to by KB after the race.

;     &nbs
p;   Sorry JJ but you went at him after the race and you were animated in front of the cameras at him, so just like on the track when he ran you back up even more than you had run him down, he went even more over the top in front of the cameras than you had just done to him. Now if you would have walk over and calmly talk about it and he acts like and ass then ok I would get what your saying but thats not what you did...Bottom line 5 time was wrong all around on this one.

One of my favorite thing's in life i's when someone attempt's to bash people and essentially call them dumb while in the proces's making themselve's look like the bigger fool. Thank's Cowboy23 for starting my weekend off with a few smile's. BTW you won't have to put an apostrophe before every s but I thought I'd try it here and see if I like it. Next time I'm trolling on a message board devoted to gardening and landscaping with people that don't know the language I'll be able to fit in. Wassapening!

Jimmie Johnson still mad at Kurt Busch

LMFAO! Same thing different day. You know I always said the Busch brothers reminded me of the little piss ant that got shoved into lockers and thier lunch money stolen. They only act tough when they are behind the wheel of a race car or when the people who are paid to make them fast are there to protect them. It's not like the old days when drivers settled it face to face and everyone else stayed out of it. I think since all of us rednecks only watch the WWE and Nascar and are to stupid to know any better should start our own sport. We'll can it SIDWWES Stoning Nascar Idiots WWE Style. Lets get back to racing and let all the class drivers and the remaining morons take care of business. We all know NASCAR won't do anything about anything! I mean you have Kyle Busch trying to run over Kevin Harvick on pit road and nothing is done. It's time to suspend drivers who can't act in a civil matter. I bet things would be dealt with out of the watching public eye.
