JOLIET, Ill. - A rainy start to the day will reportedly give way to clearing in time for Sunday's Geico 400 to start on time.

Overnight showers have lingered around the Chicagoland Speedway area but local forecasters are calling for the wet weather to move out and provide a window of opportunity to get the first race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup in this afternoon.

Chicagoland Speedway does have lights and NASCAR officials will wait as long as possible to get the entire 400 mile event in on Sunday.

Matt Kenseth will lead the field to green when the race begins at what will now be a 2:03 ET start as NASCAR accelerates the previously announced schedule.
