HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Persistent rain showers have forced officials to cancel all Sprint Cup Series activity at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday.
There were two sessions scheduled in preparation to Saturday's qualifying round to set the field for Sunday's Ford 400 season finale.
But rains hit the track just past Noon and NASCAR scrubbed the planned schedule at 6:15 p.m. ET.
The new schedule calls for one practice to be held Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET and a second at 11:30 a.m. prior to qualifying. The times from the sessions will set the qualifying order.
Should all practice and qualifying get rained out Sunday's lineup would be based on points.
