Draft Picks and Picking Schedule

I am on an off the boards, looks like I will be picking between noon and 2PM tomorrow, sound about right? Unfortunately for me I have been on CBS forever and have too many favorites and cannot add El Patron because of their dumb rule. Hindsight is 20-20 what they should have done is allow an add for every deletion instead of grand-fathering everyone, then setting a limit in general for how many favorites you can have.

Bottom line is they could have spent money on a bigger server. We provide much revenue for them, millions of fans read our posts every day and based on the amount of advertising that hits this site. I would expect the ad revenue generated well exceeds the cost of running this venue.  Basically we provide all the color commentary, they just sit back and monitor it and set the rules.

From work I can post on this blog, but not the thread, their PC is asking for a viewing download and no way am I doing that. This blog does not come up on my profile, for reasons I stated, which sucks for me, oh well moving forward. I have an IPhone and at least in a couple of rounds I may have to call in my pick. I am on EST and usually up from 9AM to 2AM, I work second shift.

Draft Picks and Picking Schedule

oh, i read 2011 season starts the 1st of March could u investigate about that??
Well the last day of the current CBA(hence the last day of the 2010 season) is March 3rd..As of March 4th, they will start the process of lockout, continuing without a CBA, which in turn could lead to a strike or playing under the last best offer by the owners with no CBA for the time being.

If a new CBA were in place, free agency would start at Midnight on March 4th.

Not sure where the March 1st date comes in...Other than that is the last day of the scouting combine.

Draft Picks and Picking Schedule

BUT IF U TRADE A PLAYER THAT WILL BE A FA, AND HE CHANGES IT TEAM ON REAL LIFE BEFORE THE START OF THIS MOCK, THAT TRADE WILL BE CANCELLED"
This is a moot point El...if a player is traded, there is no way he changes teams in real life before the start of the mock. Even if the CBA is signed TODAY, the 2011 season won't officially start until March 4th...the same day this mock starts.

However, I would suggest any trade involving a free agent (which I am publicy against anyway BTW) be cancelled if a CBA is had by the mock. If the CBA is signed prior to the draft then all free agents will no longer be property of the team to be traded. For that matter, if the CBA is NOT signed, free agents still can't be traded because there is no CBA...trading free agents just doesn't make any sense what so ever. If a team signs a free agent, it is because they have plans to use him, not trade him. Doesn't make sense for a player to sign with their original team, only to be traded. That only happens with RFA when the tender is involved...This isn't the NBA.
