Teams giving up a shorthanded goal to the Washington Capitals might as well waive a white flag.

The Capitals improved to 5-0 this year when scoring a shorthanded goal. Boyd Gordon accomplished the feat 66 seconds into the second period for his first goal in 23 playoff games.

Shorthanded goals tend to spark Washington's offense as well. In each of the contests, the Capitals scored no fewer than four goals.
