Sens skate to longest OT win in team history

The Ottawa Senators re-wrote their record book with a 4-3 overtime defeat of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

The contest, which ended when defenseman Matt Carkner scored 7:06 into the third extra period, is the longest in Senators history. The victory is also their first when stretching a game to triple overtime.

With the win, Ottawa improved to 3-3 in multiple-overtime games.
