Answer to Cleveland's quagmire? That's Amar'e

The big question every NBA fan, executive, player, agent, marketer, salesperson and janitor is wondering this offseason involves where LeBron James will spend the next half dozen years of his basketball career. The Cavaliers, and notably the executive braintrust of GM Danny Ferry and owner Dan Gilbert, did everything they thought they could to accessorize James with the appropriate championship-caliber talent the past two seasons, and in turn persuade James to get that Cle4Life vanity license plate.

But again, the Cavs are watching the playoffs from home despite topping 60 wins for the second-straight season. Ferry did more than he's ever done this season, dressing the LeBrons up with Shaq and Antawn Jamison in addition to previously acquired sidekick Mo Williams and homegrown role players like Anderson Varejao and J.J. Hickson. But the recipe didn't work, and the Cavs looked lost during parts of their semifinals series vs. the Celtics.

So what was the answer to the Cavaliers championship riddle? We turn to Twitter. In a surprisingly fruitful synergy of public relations and good old fashioned ask-an-interesting-question-ism, our Ken Berger was able to unearth the ever-thought elusive solution courtesy of Shaquille O'Neal's former Phoenix teammate.

@Amareisreal is of course, Amar'e Stoudemire. @KBerg_CBS is our aforementioned NBA columnist. And @NBAPR is somebody from the league who protects their tweets. Now let's not make a big deal out of Stoudemire having a little fun on Twitter. But having Stoudemire's low-post presence alongside of James would have been something exciting to watch. Jamison is one of the better complementary pieces in the league, but for as good as his silky smooth touch is, he doesn't compare to the freakish athletic ability of Stoudemire. Would K.G. have been able to shut down Amar'e for 35 minutes a night? Would Amar'e have likely forced K.G. into foul trouble early into each game? Would this have prevented K.G.'s awkward press conference following Game 6? Why do I keep mentioning K.G.?

Also of note with this little exchange is the fact it doesn't really exist anymore. This all took place using the hashtag #nbamedia (click on Berger's Twitter stream and then click on that hashtag. I can't seem to link it up cleanly.) and when you click on it Sunday, poof, the Berger-Stoudemire exchange is no mas (it was there late Saturday night). So while I wonder "what if" Amar'e was a Cav, I also now wonder, is somebody really trying to censor that? C'mon people, lighten up.

So how would a LeBron-Amar'e combo have done this NBA playoffs? Is Amar'e right? Would the Cavs have won Cleveland it's first championship since the James Polk administration?

I have no idea what is even being said thru this jibberish, but what I think is meant to be said was Amare and LBJ would have been a good fit. The Cavs had the talent to win this year with the roster they had. Fact is the style of play and coaching is and was terrible. Just a bad system for Lebron to be in. Even Sir Charles can recognize that.

Wow. If Lebron went to the Suns with Steve Nash And Amar'e, they would never miss another championship game.  I think putting Amar'e in Cleveland if LeBron were to stay would result in a championship.  As good as Mo Williams is, he isn't a pass first point guard and that is where the Cavaliers problems lie.

Amare would be sweet paired with Lebron, OK, that would be downright nasty. But, I am still hoping Lebron joins up with Bosh or D-Wade, or just goes to the Bulls, baby! Chi-town with King James, that would be sick!

Montana to Rice, I am out.

Gosh, wow, now my feelings are so hurt. Seriously, what are you guys like 3 years old still wetting the bed. The article read, and was written, just fine to me. It's a blog, for crying out loud, it doesn't have to be edited, structured, and perfect. A blog is an online brain-fart. I was just saying that people are so quick to insult the writer, when some basic intelligence would go a long way first. The people that don't know the symbol "@" means "to", and so on, need to stop with the dumb posts.

And to the guy who said people who don't get Twitter live in a cave, seriously shut up. I work with computers for a living and that isn't even remotely close to "technical" anything. Its a f***ing symbol in front of a word.
