Just watched the Celtics dominate the Miami Heat, offensively and defensively. It was a terrific game for Boston, and a horrific one for Miami. Almost a 30 point margin...and the Celtics were without KG.
Originally I had thought this matchup would be most exciting in the East...a possible 7 game series, but I'm starting to have some doubt. After Game 1's intensity and fighting, I expected a really close match today, especially with KG out. However, Boston didn't even need KG. Big Baby Davis performed incredible, probably better than KG could've done. He really stepped it up. Glen David seems to just play good in the playoffs. He's averaging 16+ pts in the playoffs and 6+ rebounds. I'm starting to see his potential. Meanwhile, Quentin Richardson backed up his commentary on KG and Pierce with a 2-7 5 point performance...nice job.
Good game by the C's who dominated the boards, passed well, and held Miami to under 80 point and under 40 FG% for the 2nd straight game. If they can keep up the intensity, they may have a shot at beating the Cavs...but it will be still difficult.
Next game will decide the series. If the Heat can rebound and win then they still have a slight chance...otherwise this hyped up matchup could end up a sweep.
Hoping it's a surge by the Celtics
