Manny Ramirez Manny Ramirez is headed to the disabled list, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports .

Hernandez cites three sources that say the outfielder is headed to the DL with a strained right hamstring. Xavier Paul will be recalled from Triple-A Alburquerque to take his spot on the roster. Paul replaced Ramirez on the roster the last time he went to the DL, playing in 20 games and batting .281/.328/.404 with no homers and six RBI.

Ramirez has missed the last two games, taking a valuable bat out of the lineup. Ramirez was hitting .460 with three homers and 15 RBI in his last 15 games. The Dodgers fell to 3 1/2 games behind San Diego after losing the first game of a series in Arizona on Friday.

Ramirez headed to DL

Is he SURE it's his right hamstring, or did he get an examination on both hamstrings because he couldn't remember which one he hurt?

Ramirez headed to DL

Manny spends a lot of time on the DL and while he is gone the dodgers have to keep the Padres close if they want a shot at the post season.
