Roy Oswalt UPDATE : Oswalt has agreed to go to Philly, and the Astros will receive J.A. Happ and two minor-leaguers. Click here for the full story .

All Roy Oswalt has to do is say OK and he'll be a Phillie, according to a report by Mark Berman of FOX 26 Sports in Houston .

Berman says the Astros and Phillies have agreed not only on the players involved, but also the amount of money involved in the deal.

Oswalt asked to be traded earlier this season, so it's assumed he'll waive his no-trade clause to join Philadelphia.

If Oswalt moves before his scheduled start against the Brewers on Friday, he will leave Texas one victory shy of tying Joe Niekro's record for victories as an Astro (144).

This season he is 6-12 with a 3.42 ERA. He is owed roughly $5 million for the rest of this season, plus $16 million next season. He also has a club option for $16 million in 2012 with a buyout of $2 million.

Earlier in the day, it was reported the Cardinals were out of the running for Oswalt and the Dodgers were unlikely to swing a deal.

Report: Astors, Phillies await Oswalt's OK

He's better than anyone they have not named Halladay, so it's a no brainier if they can make it happen.  I guess it would depend on who they have to give up, but I can't see this trade not going down.

By doing this trade Amaro is admitting he was wrong for letting Lee go. Oswalts good but he is no Lee and I wonder how he will respond in the post season if the Phillies get in. Also he got hit with a batted ball recently and hasn't pitched well since then so the Phillies need to be sure he is 100%.

Report: Astors, Phillies await Oswalt's OK

Will be a bittersweet exchange, seeing as I love J.A. Happ and am not so sure about Oswalt's attitude, especially of late. Still, to add a veteran in Oswalt next to Doc Halladay and a Hamels that's improving is pretty exciting, can't lie.

Either way, this win streak is very enjoyable right now, so whatever happens I shall not complain.

Amaro, do your thing.

Report: Astors, Phillies await Oswalt's OK

It will be sad to see him go, but this team needs to bring in some new talent. Oswalt was a big name on the team's NL Championship team several years back, but you can't win championships with only one piece of the puzzle. Assuming it all gets done, I wish Oswalt the best of luck in Philadelphia and hope the Astros can get some quality prospects to help build for the future.
