Twins banged up in Chicago

It was a rough night for the Twins -- and not just because they lost 6-1 to the White Sox to fall back into a tie for first in the American League Central.

MLB.com's Kelly Thesier's Twitter account has a running list of the team's injuries:

Reliever Jose Mijares was on crutches in the clubhouse with a likely right knee strain. Manager Ron Gardenhire said Mijares, who gave up a hit to the only batter he faced. Mijares seemed to land awkwardly covering first on Carlos Quentin's leadoff single in the eighth.

Shortstop J.J. Hardy left the game with a sore wrist, but told Thesier he'd be able to play in the series finale on Thursday.

Also hurt was reliever Jon Rauch, who has a "black and blue toe" on his right foot and said it bothered him on the mound on Tuesday. Rauch, replaced as the team's closer when Matt Capps was acquired at the trade deadline, allowed a run in his one-inning of work on Tuesday. Wednesday, Capps finished the game out after Mijares left, despite the team being down five runs.
