Manny Ramirez wants to play in 2011, his agent told Fox Sports' Jon Paul Morosi .
Ramirez will be a free agent after the season and it seems his days in the National League are numbered.
Ramirez's bat can still play, but playing in the field every day seems to be a physical impediment for him to finish the season. Ramirez is currently on the disabled list -- his third stint this season -- with a strained right calf muscle. When he has been in the lineup, Ramirez has delivered, hitting .314/.409/.516 with eight homers and 39 RBI in 61 games.
Ramirez is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment today at Class A Inland Empire.
The Dodgers will likely put Ramirez on waivers, hoping someone will claim him and the rest of his contract. The Dodgers are 11 1/2 games behind the Padres in the NL West and seven games behind the Phillies in the wild card.
