Brewers to interview Cora, Valentine

White Sox bench coach Joey Cora will interview for the vacant Milwaukee Brewers managerial position, the Chicago Tribune reports .

Former Mariners and Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin is widely considered the favorite for the job. Eric Wedge and Tim Wallach have already interviewed.

Cora, 45, has previously interviewed in Milwaukee, along with Pittsburgh and Seattle.

UPDATE : Milwaukee may also interview Bobby Valentine, who is offically out of the hunt to take over the Marlins. Typer Kepner of the New York Times via the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has the Brew Crew looking into phoning Valentine. Milwaukee may actually give Bobby V the team with the best shot of contending of any club with a managerial vacancy.
