Burrell was released by the Rays in May after a horrible start (following a horrible 2009), Burrell signed with the Giants and jump-started his career. In 96 games with the Giants in the regular season, he hit .266/.364/.509 with 18 home runs and 51 RBI.
He struggled in the playoffs, managing just six hits in 42 at-bats and was 0-for-13 in the World Series, striking out 11 times, walking twice.
UPDATE: Burrell's deal is worth $1 million plus incentives, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal (via Twitter ). He apparently took less to stay in San francisco.
