Dunn's deal could be announced as soon as tomorrow, pending the physical. According to Dave van Dyke of the Chicago Tribune , the deal is worth four years and $56 million.
According to Cowley, the White Sox were late on Victor Martinez before calling the Brewers about Prince Fielder and then when that appeared unlikely, moved to Dunn.
While it seemed unlikely the White Sox could have both Dunn and Konerko, it seems they want to do just that. That would necessitate Dunn serving as a designated hitter, something he hasn't wanted to do in the past, but it does help the team's offense.
