Two relievers could fall off the market in short order.

The Mets are pursuing D.J. Carrasco and negotiations have been "fruitful," as ESPN New York reveals.

Carrasco posted a 3.68 ERA in 78 1/3 innings and has been a quality reliever for three years now. The 33-year-old shouldn't demand a significant contract.

Also looking to sign is lefty Dennys Reyes, who appears to be nearing a decision to ink with the Marlins and Phillies. A decision is expected within the next 48 hours as Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports says. However, the A's and Mariners are also jockeying for Reyes' services as Jim Hickey of AOL Fanhouse says.

UPDATE : Looks like Reyes is headed to the Phils, as Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
