Outfielder Tony Gwynn Jr. is staying in Southern California, signing a one-year major-league deal with the Dodgers, Tom Krasovic of AOL Fanhouse tweets .
Gwynn was non-tendered by the Padres, and has also played for the Brewers.

Gwynn, 28, hit .204/.304/.287 in 2010 with three home runs and 17 stolen bases. It's not surprising that Gwynn signed with the Dodgers, but is surprising he did get a big-league deal.

UPDATE: Gwynn, non-tendered by the Padres, will actually get a raise in 2011, the Los Angeles Times reports . Gwynn will make $675,000 next season after making $420,000 in 2010.
