Teams on Greinke's no-trade clause revealed

Greinke Some details of Zack Greinke's no-trade clause became clearer Thursday when FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi revealed that the Yankees, Red Sox and Nationals are on the no-trade list.

There are 15 such teams that are on the list and while all are not known, you can cross off the Rangers, Angels and Tigers as teams on the list.

While being on a no-trade list is certainly cause for some pessimism, it is thought that Greinke would not block any trade that deals him to a winner. He may choose to request an extension from one of the said teams, however, to waive the clause.

Greinke has two years and $27 million left on his deal. The Royals have him on the trade block and are expected to move him now that Cliff Lee is no longer a free agent, with both the Yankees and Rangers whiffing on Lee's services.

Both teams, however, reportedly don't have the pieces K.C. is seeking in a deal, while Washington and Toronto are better fits.

nda, a bonafide ace doesn't have a losing record and an era over 4, this guy had 1 good year and he's a complete pussy. I don't think anyone outside of Kansas City is too excited about Zack Grienke coming to town. He's definately no savior and might not even be any help at all.

PRESSURE BURSTS PIPES, AND Pipes Burst Often in October... I know myself and my fellow Phillies Fans would be salivating ( ok foaming at the Mouth is more like it) if this Sally was coming into our house in the WS or any other round in post season).. We would be on him from the time he stepped off the Tarmac..

What is this garbage?  You sir are a peanuthead.  "Pressure bursts pipes..."  LMAO.

Teams on Greinke's no-trade clause revealed

There is one thing the Jays will not need and that is PITCHING.. W the emergence of Romero, Brandon Morrow 17k 1 hitter and he had a few other 10-12 k performances and Cecil is no slouch either.. Not to mention Kyle Drabek tossed a NO NO in JULY down in Dbl AA affiliate, I think one thing you will defiantely have is a solid rotation,2nd to only the BoSox in the Al East, possibly as early as 2011, more likely 2012...

That said, I wouldnt wanna have this Mental Midget on my team coming out to Face the Sox in Game 1 in Fenway, Yankee Stadium or just about anywhre else in the post season, PRESSURE BURSTS PIPES, AND Pipes Burst Often in October... I know myself and my fellow Phillies Fans would be salivating ( ok foaming at the Mouth is more like it) if this Sally was coming into our house in the WS or any other round in post season).. We would be on him from the time he stepped off the Tarmac..

Then after Folding like a LOUNGE CHAIR, he would simply disappear into the MOUNTAIN'S like Ted Kazinsky never to be heard from again... Who wants that ?? We already had one gentile EGO to deal w in Hamelsduring 09 Post Season, and he was tempered and forged as a 24 year old in the 08 postseason and WS, yet his gentile EGO folded like a cheap wallet in the 09 season, yet he did make a complete recovery in 2010...

That said, no thanks, I dont want him in Phila, matter of Fact send him to the REDS, in all seriousness, I could see him going there, that is right up the street, but the Great American Smallpark might be enough for him to collapse like Downey Jr used to do...

I hope my Reds are trying to get him ! We could send B. Phillips and some pitching prospects to the Royals. Greinke would fit in great with our MVP First Baseman. They could make their weekly " Check-up from the Neck-up" appointments at the same Shrink !

It would be really nice to see him end up in Toronto. If we can get him for with out giving up to many prospect it would be a good deal. Morrow, Greinke, Romero,Cecil,Drabek(if he is not traded),Rzep, with   Frasor, Gregg( if we keep him) Lewis, Carlson in the pen... and if we could go out and get a Belfour or Soriano or Fuentes our pitching staff would be looking good. We proved that we could hit last year ( would be nice to get some guys to hit for average) but we still were putting runs on the board

Kansas City is looking for a nice crop of prospects.  I believe that the Braves have exactly what they would want and Atlanta is a great organization and a small enough market where Greinke wouldn't feel any pressure.  He would come in and fit into a rotation that would have Tim Hudson, Derek Lowe, Jair Jurrjens & Tommy Hanson.  He could slide into that #3 starter role and he would thrive.

We have enough pitching prospects in the minors to make this deal happen and with Philly signing Cliff Lee, the Braves need to make a move like this.

Mike Minor
Brandon Beachy
Jordan Schaefer
Diory Hernandez

for

Zach Greinke (and sign him to a 2-3 year extension at about $12 million per year)

"...you can cross off the , and as teams on the list.

I think this means that these three teams are NOT on the list...cross them out for being part of the no-trade clause.

OK so you take out the Yank, Sucks, Rangers, Angels, TIgers, and Nats, so exactly where does he think he'll fit in, what team would he be willing to go to?  Stop the crap about whre he won't play, tell us where he will.  Wanna bet if no one comes thru with an offer and he's stuck in KC for another year, I'll bet all the teams mentioned above are all of a sudden NOT on the list any more.  You gotta remember, he's had one good year lately, and a $13mil deal per year still going.  He goes to a contender, he is going to have to prove he's worth that money.  That might not be so easy for him.
