Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times is reporting via Twitter that Hall of Famer Frank Robinson was taken to a hospital today after experiencing dizziness and an irregular heartbeat during the owners meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Baseball spokesman Pat Courtney said Robinson, 75, was "alert and conscious." Robinson works as senior vice president in the commissioner's office.

We'll have more as it becomes available.

UPDATE: An MLB spokesman tells the Washington Post that Robinson has been undergoing tests and is resting. "So far, everything is coming back good," the spokesman said.

UPDATE: USA Today reported that Robinson has been released from the hospital and returned to the meetings.

Wow ,thats funny guy, I had a experience with R Jackson in Cooperstown NY, Hall
of fame weekend about probably 12 Years ago, I go to Hall of Fame weekend with my
wife and two sons just about every Year .. a great time, time in time again ,I feel like your going
back into time with all those Hall of Famers up there, anyway I was standing at table looking at
baseball memorbilia byself about 7PM one night who standing right next to me was
Reggie Jackson in front of this table at this guys store on Main street, he was cutting some
sort of bat deal with the owner of this unnamed store, just the three of us, he tells the guy
"the owner" to get this guy to outta here meaning me and very nasty to, like who
the F--- are you giving me the dirtest looks , screw you Mr Oct.
The very next day Im watching this guy meaning Jackson signing autographs at another
location on Main Street he signs a ball for a little kid and semi-rolls the ball across the table
instead of handing back with this kids father watching and the ball drops to the floor and after
the kids father probably just paid about 75.00 for this clowns autograph , I would of threw it
back to him and request money back and tell him to shove it if that was my son!
So swerve09, I agree Ive heard some pretty nasty things about this clown.

Reggie Jackson the biggest prima dona i've ever met,i saw him in a bar and was waiting till he got ready to leave to approach him for an autograph, when i did he said go F yourself and slammed his door in my face. Me and my friends just laughed and continued but thats the way it is. Only a few real gentlemen millionaires and the straw that stirs the drink ain't 1 of em.

lol Frank Robinson is the biggest racist in sports!  Yelling racist remarks to 11year old asking for an autograph is real class!  Frank is the biggest dirtbag in baseball.  Cal Ripken is class, Ozzie Smith is class, Frank is just an a s s!
------
Cal ain't all that, and neither is Ozzie when it comes to class.
Funny, the rudest person I've ever met was Reggie White. But hey, maybe it was a bad day.
So what exactly is your point? You're perfect?
And if so, why exactly would you be on here if you got the ball skills to pay the bills?

Sounds as if you were that 11 year old kid? Well, athletes are human beings first...maybe he did say some off stuff...many do...but he had to deal with reverse. put yourself in his shoes for a minute...he had to deal with racism for majority of his life. It doesn't give him a free pass nor does it make it right yelling at a kid but you can't judge a person by one incident. And I think his public perception both in and out of baseball of being a 'class' guy holds a lot more water than your comment and opinion. Just sayin'! Your comment speaks volumes about your 'class'!

He was a trail blazer as a player and manager and was the heart and soul of the great Oriole teams in the 60's and 70's.  Worst trade in MLB was the reds sending him to Baltimore.
