Monday, Josh Beckett took a baseball off the head. It was an errant shot off the fungo of coaching assistant Ino Guerrero. Beckett was shut down for the day and eventually sent home with what were termed as mild concussion symptoms. The good news is he's feeling better Tuesday.

He reportedly arrived at 8:11 a.m. (via Extra Bases ) and told reporters he's already past the headaches, though also noting there has been some dizziness. He's been told to avoid watching TV and has had trouble with stairs.

Though Beckett called the incident "stupid," he reportedly forgave Guerrero for the incident.

He will probably miss his next scheduled start, which was going to be Thursday, but keep in mind how much time is left in spring training. This setback shouldn't knock him off course in terms of being ready for the regular season.

Not always. Sometimes the prey escapes and so the hunter dies of hunger.

What does that mean??

Whether in baseball or hunting or ... well - life, isn't it always better to be the hunter than the prey? Get well soon Josh!

You might want to consider a new title, "Beckett better after hit to head" isn't quite what you are trying to say lol.

Beckett feels better, but should miss next start

You would expect this from a little league baseball player not a so called PRO. player Beckett had better call it stupid because he gets a little bump on hip pumpkin the Red Sox hold him out of a start. I wonder why people a calling professional players babies and manager Terry Francona an enabler for letting him get away with it. If he cant catch a lousy baseball put a hard hat on him.
