Alex RodriguezUPDATE: Alex Rodriguez said he felt tight before the game, but it got worse during the game. He's hopeful to play tomorrow, but manager Joe Girardi said if there's any soreness, A-Rod would sit. (Via Anthony McCarron of the New York Daily News on Twitter.)

----------

Alex Rodriguez left Saturday's game with the Rangers in the seventh inning of the team's 5-2 victory over the Rangers with lower back and oblique stiffness.

The team said there was no plan for further tests.

Rodriguez was 0 for 2 with a walk against lefty Derek Holland before he was replaced by Eric Chavez, but is still hitting .385 with four homers and a 1.321 OPS. Chavez struck out in his only plate appearance in the game.

There were dozens of stupid Yankee haters on here this offseason saying how ARod was "too old" and was "done" at the plate.  Guess what, sterioids or no steroids, this guy still is one of the best hitters in baseball even at age 35 and will be for at least a few more years if he stays healthy.  If he keeps up the way he is hitting this year, he is a shoo-in for the AL MVP.

Of course they are red sox fans......Crawford's off to a great start...the Red Sox should be more worried about getting a frigging win.  For once it's not the Yanks under the payroll microscope....all that cash and still 3 and 8, hows it feel Affleck nation, if it was'nt for Beckett, well you know the rest.  Oh yeah....I forgot if it was'nt for roids and hippie lettuce, your two boys Ramirez and Ortiz would not have won you a championship, so be thankful and get rid OF THAT DUMP FENWAY.

Steroids Rule

all those steroids in earlier years are catching up to ARod--he gets $30 million per year for part-time play.  Now that's some nice cash flow!    Maybe he should go back on the juice.

Of course he got the strain from fighting off all the guy Yankee fans trying to suck his....... I don't even need to finish it.

Wouldn't be surprised if he also has a groin pull too.
