Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

Luke ScottThe Orioles' Luke Scott still doesn't believe President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

"[President Obama's] birth certificate has yet to be validated," Scott told Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star.

Scott, a proud birther, made headlines at the winter meetings when he told Yahoo!'s David Brown he didn't believe the president was born in Hawaii and that he was "hiding something."

Obama, of course, released the "long form" birth certificate so many had asked to see recently. That wasn't good enough for Scott.

"If they can counterfeit $100 bills, I think it's a million times easier to counterfeit a birth certificate, if you ask me," Scott said. "So, all it is, let's just see if it's real. Anybody can produce a document, so let's check it out."

The Orioles, it should be noted, have done their best to distance themselves from Luke's outspoken political beliefs and have asked him not to talk about them on company time, but have also allowed him to exercise his right to free speech.

In more important matters, Scott was 2 for 5 with a three-run homer in the Orioles' 6-5 loss to the Royals on Tuesday. It was his sixth homer of the season.

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

He does have the right to think whatever he wants...we are American and is given that right. So, he is not a racist because he speaks his mind...but he once stated  "just show the Birth Certificat" that is done now but it is not proof enough. It need to be authenticate...give me a break...when that happens...well people lie, so, I still don't believe it. Did he ask Bush or any other President to show the birth certificate...of course not....Did we see it...of course not

Let me ask you a question...Do you believe the Goverment was behind the planes crashing into the Twin Towers.....Do you think that is stupid....? I do, but there are those that are saying it and they have that right but it is sure as hell stupid to me.

Like this President, hate this President or the last one...I don't give crap but please make it because he is weak, or a democract, or out for himself....but not a damn birth certificate or that he is black! I gurantee, the latter is the only reason "we are asking for a Birth Certificate and that is not proof enough!!!

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

"Just now showing the long form birth certificate has raised questions 2 years into office.  Why now?  Why not abck then?  Why are there discrepencies to it?

Why do u all blindly beleive stuff?"

A: Because the CIA, FBI, INS, NSA and the Secret Service verified his citizenship, when he ran for senator. So what are you saying? Nobody still had gotten back to me as to how his mother had traveled to kenya and back, without a paper trail.

"Taking this at its face value is good for you, drink some more kool aid.
"
Actually, it was cyanide-laced grape flavored Flavor-Aid, not kool aid, which killed the 909 inhabitants of Jonestown. Another case of misinformation on your behalf.

I'm sorry; I didn't mean to confuse you with the facts.

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

Ron, we respect Scott's 1st amendment rights, in attacking president Obama and calling him a birther. Now please respect our 1st amendment rights and allow us to attack him and call him an idiot.

As my mom, GOD bless her soul, had said,"Make sure you can take a punch, before you decide to throw one".

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

Simple answer to this...He did! Just like showing his birth certificate now...still not proof enough. When you want things to be a lie...its going to be a lie(for you). The same as the idea that the goverment was responsible for taken down  the twin tower...we all know its a lie...but there are crazy people out there who choose to be be crazy....Sad but true...Scott, I believe is a Racist....and I dont like throwing that word out to easily.....but what is his possible motivation for this bull he is spitting out....

Luke Scott's 15 minutes is up.  He is just TOO STUPID to quote anymore.  From now until the end of his mediocre career, just box score notes, please.

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

Scott's comments pretty much seals this controversy's fate. This will go down in history as just another "great government conspiracy".

No matter how much evidence you present to the table, there will always be that small group of nuts that are going to stick their fingers into their ears and go,"lalalalalalala".

To such groups, Kennedy will always be killed at the hands of everyone but Oswald, the moon landing was a fake, we'd covered up the existance of aliens, 9/11 was the work of the Israelis and Elvis and Hitler aren't dead. This week, it's Osama bin Laden. He's not dead; in fact, he'd escaped and is now in hiding with Michael Jackson at the Neverland ranch. Surprised

Luke Scott simply represents the worst kind of human; the kind whose ignorance, bigotry and fear for someone or something is so strong, that it literally blinds his/her's own sense of logic. I feel pity for such people because in the end, they will all end up with the same fate; they will ultimately go insane and they will be institutionalized.

So don't worry; the next uniform he'll be wearing will have the buttons and straps to the back of him.

Addendum: I'm not a big fan of Obama, the president. But I do know how to think. Birthers need to find a class that teaches that skill, and then study incessantly.
