As Eye on Hockey reports, the Tampa Bay Lightning took batting practice prior to the Tampa Bay Rays game on Thursday, with goalie Mike Smith launching a home run.

"Dream come true," Smith said. "It felt like butter coming off the bat. I've always wanted to try that. Close my eyes and swung, and it went out. I'm pretty proud."

Smith smacked his home run into the bleachers in left field while taking swings along with Steven Stamkos, Teddy Purcell and Nate Thompson. Smith also got a shaving cream pie to the face while jogging the bases after the home run.
