Stow: 'I'd rather eat feces than a Dodger Dog'

Now that TMZ uncovered a video of beating victim Bryan Stow arguing with Dodgers fans in the crowd back on Opening Day -- before being jumped from behind and beaten into a coma by a pair of Dodgers fans in the parking lot -- the story continues to grow.

The latest revelation is that the man arguing with Stow in the video has text messaged about Stow's behavior before the assault.

Juan Banda, who was arguing with Stow during the game, reportedly told his friends to watch his back as he got up for a bit, but nothing happened. Banda also said "[Stow] did have a mouth, though!"

The major quote from the exchange is that Stow told Banda, "I'd rather eat my own feces than eat a Dodger Dog," to which Banda said Stow crossed the line. Banda also pointed out, "maybe [Stow] said the wrong thing to the wrong guys!" (all quotes via text messages recovered by TMZ.com)

OK, well, I guess that's possible.

It's possible he said far worse to incite the assailants and no witness has come forward to tell authorities, but if the only thing he said is he'd rather eat crap than a hot dog, is that really worth jumping the guy?

He apparently didn't even use profanity when he said it. I understand we're trying to get both sides of the story and that it's possible Stow wasn't a complete angel for the entire game. But exchanging words about Dodger Dogs doesn't make it acceptable for two guys to jump one from behind and beat him within an inch of his life.

That doesn't add up.

What does it matter what he said, the man is with his family . No man should ever hurt another like that over words, much less a dodger dog in wich i love. Leave it to the biggest cowerds on earth a gang banger to do this you people are right they fear everyone so much they cant do anything one on one, cant even think by them selfs.

Had it been 2 white guys beatin on a be......latino, all those la raza scumbags would be shouting "racists"  from the rooftops. This is typical of all their ilk,not just from Mexico. One on one, nothing more than a bunch of 5'4" wimps. Put em in a group and boy are they tough guys. AND they need weapons too. It's often labeled latino "machismo", but it really is nothing more than a Napoleon complex.Amazing he we hear nary a word from Mayor Taco on this but, you can bet he'd be on the news nightly demanding justice if it was a latino gettin the crap beat out of him.

This isn't news, and TMZ shouldn't be given any light.  They are a useless, don't add any value to anything in our society except the worse of it. TMZ rates with the likes of Jerry Springer, Maury Povich and all the supermarket tabloids.  They don't warrant any time whatsoever.  We have somoene that is close to death.  It doesn't matter what was said or not.  If you look at the video, that guy got up from his chair and challenged Stow, so he should be the one they should be looking at if there is anyone to be looking at.

Stow: 'I'd rather eat feces than a Dodger Dog'

I have been to hundreds of Dodger games as a Padres fan and I can tell you that when I open my mouth and stir the pot bad things happen, When I go to enjoy the game and keep my comments to myself, everything is fine.

It's not just Dodger staduim, this happends in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, New York, and Boston as well.

People trash talk ALL the time. No excuse for beating his ass. If he had started the fight physically then at least the offenders would have some grounds for retaliation. Instead they are just cowards.

Like I've been saying, maybe Stow deserved A FIST FIGHT.  The mexican gangsters dont believe in man to man competition.  They're scared of that instead lead wipes from behind is acceptable i guess

It's likely been said, but nothing this guy said warranted the beating he received...nothing.
I will agree with this; but at the same time, if the guy hadn't been kicking a dog in it's own backyard he probably would have been able to go home with so much as a scratch.

And Dodger dogs haven't been good in 25 years (easily).

I like how you start off with an "If" but then to insult him with a "Good job Dodger fan" like Banda was guilty of being the one to beat him up.  If he is guilty I agree with you, but let's not pass judgement until the facts are settled.  Good job poster.
