Teixeira breaks up Tomlin's no-hitter

There's been lots of attention on the Indians-Yankees game Monday evening, but it's due to Derek Jeter's quest for his 3,000th hit. Indians pitcher Josh Tomlin was looking stealing the show through six innings. Tomlin had a no-hitter until it was broken up when Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira singled to open the seventh inning.

Hits have been hard to come by for both teams, as the Indians only have two against A.J. Burnett through six.

Tomlin has also become the first pitcher since 1919 to throw five-plus innings in his first 29 career starts, which is quite a feat.

OK, So AJ Burnett is living with his breaking ball.

He is trying to get Duncan out with it.  So 2-2 he goes away with a fastball and Duncan gets a bleeder down the right field line.  Why not bust him inside in this situation?  I'm sick of this away, away, away Yankee mentality.

Then lets go away to Austin Kearns who pretty much is horrible.  In his last 1000 ABs he has 20 HRs and 250 K's  Let's go away.  You guessed it.  HR barely gets over the wall in right.  Does anyone on the Yankees have any guts?
