Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left Monday's game against the Braves with an injury to his right quadriceps muscle (the thigh) and is in danger of missing the entire Braves series, which runs through Thursday. It's possible he could also miss the All-Star game, which he was named to start on Sunday.

"If I have to miss a game or two or three or four, that's better than two months," Tulowitzki told the Denver Post, who added that he turned his ankle over the weekend and feels that could have led to increased susceptibility.

He hurt his quad after grounding into a double play in the fourth inning and was immediately replaced by Jonathan Herrera. Tulowitzki has missed only one game this season to date, but he did tear a tendon in his quad and miss a lot of time in 2008. However, no MRI is planned and team trainer Keith Dugger said the injury has nothing to do with the 2008 one, after which point the shortstop changed his diet and workout routine to alleviate future quad problems.

"It's not [serious]," Dugger said. "Tulo just has to have decent strength and not be sore."

Tulowitzki entered Monday hitting .272 with 17 home runs, 57 RBI and an .839 OPS. He was named an NL All-Star for the second time in his career Sunday.

Regardless. What did Coors Field have to do with the 4 bombs he hit in ONE SERIES in NY? And what does Coors Field have to do with him being the best fielding SS in the league?

seven's#1 - "Best hitting shortstop in baseball. name a better one this year?"

Jose Reyes.  Leads the league in everything except HRs and RBIs.  Thanks, that was an easy one!

Really? In Coors field it is 347 down right field but it is only 314 down right in NY. You don't win a Silver Slugger because you only play good in half of your games. The guy is a stud.

Once again respond to Jagsfan1969's foolish comments...

Troy Tulowitzki’s road OPS is actually higher than his home OPS. His away average is 10 points higher, away OBP is 12 points higher amd away SLG is only 2 points lower .495 to .497 at home.

He shouldn't be an Allstar.  Numbers are inflated because of where he plays.
