PujolsAlbert Pujols has been activated from the disabled list Tuesday.

It's simply an amazing return for Pujols, who fractured his left wrist June 20, just 10 days ago. It was widely felt that Pujols would be out four to six weeks, and closer to six or longer once you factor in a rehab assignment. The news at the time was so sobering that Tony La Russa told the Associated Press he was "going to go find a place to cry."

La Russa must be crying tears of joy after this miraculous recovery. In fact, it's so miraculous, one has to wonder if Pujols is pushing his return or not. His performance upon his return will go a long way toward proving that or not. Pujols did say that if he had felt any pain while swinging the bat, he would have immediately shut down.

Reliever Brian Tallet was placed on the 15-day DL to make room, so Pujols will be ready to go for the 7 p.m. game against the Reds.

Pujols returns from disabled list

Amazing. Isn't this the same Albert Pujols who said 2 weeks ago that he had a bone injury (fracture) that his doctors said would take 6 weeks (+/-) to recover from? He even went on to say that the time he would be out was pretty much a given due to the injury being a bone injury and not something that can be fixed quicker such as a muscle injury/strain. So he pretty much said he'd be out 6 weeks then miraculously healed up in 2 weeks.

Maybe he is the 2nd Coming like Cards fans think he is. I mean, if he can miraculously heal himself of fractured bones in 1/3rd of the time that every doctor in the world says these injuries take to heal from then he is not of this world.

That or he got some pretty illegal help from his doctors.

Got you again didnt they?  LOL

Never fails that LaRussa and the Cardinals have more up their sleeve.  Fractured wrist my butt. Drug test ole Prince Albert right about now and see how them 'roids are treating him. IF he was truly injured that way, no way he's ready to go today. Total mularkey that he was ever really injured that bad in the first place. Lets see some X-Rays. Hell, even Kim Kardashian came out to answer here critics. What say you WB'S?

Pujols cleared to play, could return Tuesday

I have Albert in 3 or 4 leagues I was not able to cut him if i wanted to. But with poor reporting and bad facts given by the Cardinals as usual, this for me was expected. The Cardinals are great at misinformation, Albert though did not break his wrist it seems, maybe a small bone?.Now they might win the Division,If Albert had been out as long as what was said I was going with the Brew Crew.

Well he did not break his wrist, he broke a small bone maybe in it.You know you have to really look aroumd to get the truth the facts and all of them.It seems most people want to be the 1st to report went is going on  not the facts or get it right. Its bad enough what with all the injuries as it is but these people who get paid good money dont check there facts or dont listen very well. I just hope not to many of you cut Albert loose too soon IN Fantasy Baseball.........

Well, let's see how healthy he is, if he plays. Don't know who's hurling for the Reds, but I'd see if he can turn on some inside heat. If there's ever a time to pitch him in on the hands, now is it. Just curious to why there's no rehab starts, especially so close to the All Star break.

no. it's not really that surprising that his wrist is healed in two weeks.  what's surprising is that his wrist is at full strength and he is activated for duty.  the fact he could play today is ridiculously amazing.

Considering it was just a hair line fracture is it really surprising that its completely healed in 2 weeks? I had a similar break in my hand when I was a kid and they gave me a splint and the bone was healed in 2 weeks. Only issue after that is building the strength back, which shouldn't be too big of a problem because it was just 2 weeks.
