In all fairness to Cashman, he did not want to give A-Fraud a new contact, Mr. Steinbrenner did. That being said, yes, it will be enjoyable watching the 'Roidster flail away for the next few years. I don't imagine he'll be around for the full six years, he'll probably have his contact bought out. The thought of seeing a washed up 42 year old trying to do anything is just too said to comprehend.

Yes we tuned in and watched TBS, but you could have done a better job hiring your analyst; Smoltz was great but that Yankee homer Ron Darling was just awful!!!

I don't think I've ever seen a player strike out, ending their team's playoff chances with a more indifferent attitude than A Rod. The Yankees get to pay this big phony, unclutch dog for 6 more years! They deserve each other, and I hope Cashman enjoys watching A Roid hit 23 homers next season, most of which will be hit in a 16-2 game.

Of course Tiger pitching was superior.  The Tigers won the three close games, all with outstanding pitching.  A deeper pitching staff was the difference.  A series is won by the team winning the most GAMES, not scoring the most runs.

Gee, let me guess------- another Yankee fan trying to appear diplomatic but failing miserably at it?

The pitching was better and so was the managing!   Live with it and go hide like the other pouting Yankee fans that always disappear once their season is gone except for the occasional yeah-hoo that surfaces to try and submit some asanine point about 27 flags.   How's that working for you today????

it is unfortuante that everyone saw Arod strike out, which in itself isnt embarrasing because they all do it...however the mind of gerardi was viewed and mocked...and the embarrasment of twice having bases loaded and not coverting without a double play being the reason....

for the tigers to win without cabrera doing much and martinez and avila doing even less was incredible...but do not claim that the tiger pitching was superior than the yankees.....if you see that their era was higher and they gave up way more runs and their pitching put their defense  in compromising situations...although they got out of it three times in that game....
