National League MVP Ryan Braun, who reportedly failed an MLB drug test, says his "day will come" when gossip website TMZ.com spotted him coming out of Los Angeles International Airport.

There's really not much more to this video than that, but it is Braun on video talking -- albeit briefly -- about the charges against him.

I'm guessing TMZ has people with video cameras stationed at LAX all the time, waiting for them to come out and then ask about the affairs of the day. I'd love to talk to the TMZ.com folks about the best parking and restaurants at LAX, I'm sure they'd be able to help.

Ryan Braun: 'My day will come'

When is this whole appeal supposed to go down, I personally will wait to crucify the guy til after that. I dont know, something about Braun makes me feel this isnt a simple guilty verdict, maybe there is more to it and maybe there was an issue with the previous testing. I had Braun on my fantasy team over the past 2 seasons so maybe that why Id like to see him proven innocent, but I guess whatever happens, happens.
I am also waiting to see what happen with the appeal, before I even think that he has broken MLB rules.  But for some people would still think that he is guilty don't matter what happen at the appeal, I just would like the appeal to be over with already. Brewers need enough time to decide if they need to find a Outfielder for the first 50 games, missing Braun and Fielder will put a big hole in the Brewers lineup,

"... his day will come."
Yep, then you'll start serving your 50 game suspension.

Btw, has anyone ever notice how he's a dead ringet for Jon Stewart? Well, at least Jon is a Mets fan.Wink

Embarrassing, but off the hook.

Not necessarily -- under the drug policy you are strictly liable for what you take.  If the "herpes medication" contained a banned substance, whether or not Braun knew it, then he still gets suspended.  The only way he "gets off the hook" under the herpes medicine scenario is if the medication did not contain a banned substance and still caused the high synthetic testosterone reading.

Ryan Braun: 'My day will come'

I heard that he caught herpes and the medicine for thst causes you to fail a drug test.  I dont know if it's true, but this is what I heard  I actually hope it's true so he at least gets off the hook.  Embarrassing, but off the hook.

Well I am admittedly no expert, but I seriously doubt there is any herpes medication that would cause you to have elevated levels of synthetic testosterone in your system, especially levels as high as Braun reportedly had.  Maybe, but I doubt it.

Didn't realized taking herpes medication is as bad as shooting steroids up your rear like Alex Rodriguez admitted to, but okay.

Ryan Braun: 'My day will come'

I'm inclined to wait until he has his appeal as well before being too hard on the guy. There is a small chance he ingested something without knowing it. But I will say this, we have heard similiar things from athletes before saying in essence I'd love to talk about this but can't until this is over. My question is this. Will Braun be any different than the others if his appeal is denied? I mean we never hear from the guys that said they would talk when the time is right. For once, I wish the media would hold these athletes feet to the fire when they say they will talk about it when they can. The media has no issue being absolute pests when they want to be. Why don't they start holding these guys accountable AFTER THEIR APPEAL is completed. Ask him about this every day until he does talk about it if his appeal is denied..... This is not some schmuck minor league or fringe player, this is the reigning NL MVP!!!!

I would give Braun the benefit of doubt -why?  Because he was tested in the minor league - clean. He was tested every year since 2004 - clean. Draw a time line and show his stats year over year - steady and consistent numbers.  Did they jump dramatically? No.  At the end of the day - it will be identified of a tainted product where he will later sue the maker of the tainted product not listing all of its ingredient reguirements under FDA guidelines.  The product he took is not banned by MLB - it will beenventually added to the list of banned products.
