Ozzie Guillen

By C. Trent Rosecrans

Last week White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy fired a shot at former manager Ozzie Guillen on a Chicago sports talk radio show, saying it wasn't the pitcher who "quit" on the White Sox, but the manager.

"At the end of the day, Ozzie didn't finish the season with us the last few games, so I don't know who quit on who," Peavy told Chris Rongey on White Sox Weekly on WSCR 670-AM in Chicago. "It is what it is and we're all looking forward to 2012."

That didn't sit well with Guillen, who lashed out on Twitter Friday:

Somebody needs to get this guy some Rosetta Stone
Unlike the Rosetta Stone, his tweets and ramblings can't be deciphered.

Ozzie Guillen makes George Lopez seem funny. Guess what Ozzie? People are laughing at you, not with you.

Ozzie was a gritty player. Ozzie isn't a terrible manager either. However, like far too many in sports, he's fallen in love with his own celebrity. At first, it's entertaining, but then it gets old, like Robin Williams act. Pretty soon you just are a pathetic character doing the same schtick. That's what Ozzie is. Charles Barkley and Don Cherry are more examples of people who have become caricatures.

Personally, I hope he fall flat on his face and his old team under a really good baseball guy in Robin Ventura has a great year. I hope he spends his time on twitter venting about his mixed-matched team.  Ramirez, Zambrano, Morrison and Reyes can drive a normal manager crazy. Imagine what they'll do to a hot-head like Ozzie?

Twitter away, you twitwit.

English is his second language so cut him a little slack... however great comedy material. Love the picture. It looks like he is trying to "drop the kids of at the pool".

Good riddance you foul mouthed idiot.  I no longer have to turn Chicago sports radio down anymore because you are gone.  Couldn't understand you when you talk, can't understand you when you tweet.  I was gonna say if you didn't quit on your team last year what do you call it, but I've already spent to much time on you.. See ya punk!!!

I can't wait to follow the Marlins this year. Guillen, Hanley and Big Z in one room together for eight montths is going to be the greatest thing to watch since the '77 Yankees.
